Matt Flynn is actually one of the greatest winners in NFL history. He played a handful of games, looked decent as the Packers backup, and made well over $20 million for his troubles. He took very few big hits, but got a big wallet out of his. He won the NFL business game and good for him!

Kirk cousins too. But not only that cousins has 4 4K seasons and was about 90 yards short of 5k. He rarely throws ints and he always throws 25 or more tds. He has a passer rating of over 91 almost every single season and into the 100s. He’s so underrated. Love him he’s really good.

I don't consider the Flacco one as bad...he just delivered the Franchise a Superbowl with one of the best Postseasons ever, and won playoff games 3 outta his first 4 years. But it definitely crippled our team for a few years and not having a good defense prevented a second Flacco SB, which yea it sucks but at least Flacco brought us a SB and some of the greatest memories as a Ravens fan.....mile-high miracle will never leave my memory

Joe Flacco should have sent millions of dollars of that contract to Rahim Moore without Rahim Moore mistiming his jump by about three years Flacco is a journeyman quarterback five years earlier than when he did it in the main timeline. And yes I am a very bitter Denver Broncos fan I own that.

Elvis has left the building! Speaking of Elvis Grbac, during his time in Kansas City he was teammates with Rich Gannon. Rich had recently been voted the NFL's sexiest man by some magazine (Sports Illustrated maybe) but when a photographer/article writer were sent to Kansas City, all they were told was to cover "the Chiefs Quarterback". Which they did. Unfortunately it was not Rich Gannon, but extremely average looking Elvis Grbac. By the time they realized their mistake they were too ashamed/didn't want to hurt Grbac's feelings, so they rolled with it. The article's headline? "His personality makes him sexy." 🤣🤣🤣

The Bears giving Mike Glennon a 3 year $45m contract, and eventually paying the $18.5m in guaranteed money to him for basically a few games before handing the ball to Mitchell the Bitchell. The Bears so overshot for Glennon, they shot themselves in the foot twice, probably putting Trubisky in too early and not developing him properly.

The reality of extensions is that it’s pay for prior accomplishments with optimism of future accomplishments. The team gets four years of well underpaying elite players and the trade off is the risk that the player underperforms the extension.
