Those maps rocked, and not too many battles were exactly the same as on the maps now…..Lost Temple was constantly a challenge that and you had many options on that map.
WG has become a joke, they take away great maps and keep saying “we’re reworking them, they’ll be back in a year” that was 3 years ago. Crates, crates and $119 for a Tank made up of pixels…..FUBAR! They’re getting worse than Vegas😂
Exactly!! Why do they not make REAL night maps as most games do, if they’re going to have Realistic mode…..make it realistic with ACTUAL dark night maps! Hell, allow us to download the program and build our own maps so we can play them in training rooms.

I haven't played the game in years, but I still watch HisRoyalFatness streams every so often. The man is so chill and charismatic even hearing his voice, listening to him complain about low rolls, server lags, teammates, talk about his intensive study routine and experiencing the occasional Bobby sighting makes me day. I'm sure anyone else who watches his streams can 100 percent relate. I miss when WoTB had a lively community with more people like him ❤
Joined 4 or 5 years ago and back then it was so fun i didnt care about anything and only played because the game was fun and my interest in tanks. Maybe its because i got older and not because the game idk i heard someone say something like “you dont miss the past you just miss being happy”
Been playing for 4 years when there was a KV-2 on the field as a Game’s icon. I remember grinding to IS-7, first i wanted to abandon the game, but kept going and after months did it. Then I started the T-62A tech tree, i ended it faster, then grinded new Kranvagn tech tree. Got many tanks from events, got a first X tier premium from snowball. I abandoned the game yet for years, and what can i say that it turned worse.. Yeah you get still many events and tanks but it’s not like before
this made me sad after 5 years 4 accounts i have gotten my best account i achieved 9 premiums/collectors and also obtained a tier 9 by grinding stay strong boys we have came a long way
Before update 5.5, when the tech trees were full, no crates, no ghost shots you either hit or missed, the tanks and maps looked better, there were more authentic camo options in the appearance menu, the tanks were more realistic as far as armor and gun loading time ie the Shermans had 3 second reload and KV2 could fire twice in one minute, derp guns, machine guns, automatic cannons, and well rounded dpm guns were available for most tanks in all of the tiers instead of the homogenized current format, 3 tier matchmaking instead of the predictable 75% of the time being the bottom tier, team composition was more fun. The devs have really crapped the bed since and it's clearly a soulless cash grab now. Before when you bought premium or one of the few premium tanks it only gave you more creds and xp after a match. Now the game is loaded with thousands of microtransaction algorithms that decide the match during the pre-battle loading screen. It's incredibly depressing. Of course I and millions of other old players want the real Blitz back instead of this hollow boring replacement that the devs have pushed on us. Anyone who claims to be from the old days and say it's better now is either a shill or a wargambling employee posing as a real player. P.S. I still want to publicly fight Antonin for the decision making rights of the game. Still hasn't taken me up on that.
I agree so much, manny players need to push WG to bring back old maps old tanks and the fun times something has to be done, maybe even a free event where you can get back loads of the old T1-T6 ( and kv13 T7 ) ofc everyone would prefer them back in the tech tree but seeing just how stupid WG are thats mostlikey the only stupid option, WG is very sad
Match making back in 2014 when the game came out was so bad one team could have four tier 8s and the other team would have one tier 8, and all the rest would be tier 10.
Back when Blitz was just a game for fun. Wanted a great tier 7? Just play the game. Sadly Blitz has gone from being a game to being a business. It happens. Its sucks. But at least we have those memories. We dont have to gamble to remember the good times. Good memories are always free to play.
Oh snap, so much good stuff. Mines climbing was insane and rockfield was half the map it is rn. +-2mm and toons not limited by tier. Japaneese map was so cool. Tons of vehicles removed for collector status. 3 missions daily and no lootboxes. No fancy anime camos. It had rough graphics, but you could somewhat feel like on real battle. No OP blueprint vehicles. Normal tanks actually had armor and you needed to somewhat knew their weakspots. Game itself was kept in war style- dirty garage, events, vehicles (sigh), medals which were fun to get and fight for, like Pool's or Rasenai, no UI that looks like casino.
I played for 7 years... now I just simply don’t have time because of my studies, and I have almost no desire. but the nostalgia for tanks is simply incredible.... thx for this video
I played it years ago, 3 nations, old maps, no anime tanks, no 100usd for em, no ranks, jagpze100 with 500mm penetration, and every hallowen or new year brand new aymospheric hangar, not just few objects added. Old sandbox. World of ducks. Mark 1. New blitz is good, events, clans, game mods i'm totally satisfyed with. But that old things, i just want to see em once more, so it can finally rest in peace.
Ahhhh, i remember i first time play WOTB the training its like 1:15 , bro that nostalgia moment when I first time know WOTB😔. But now, its different, always get bad team, to expensive crate/another premium, and many gambling. I Miss old WOTB
I always played this game a lot in the period 2017-2019, it was my favorite game on the phone, I sometimes spent the whole afternoon playing it, however after the fateful update 5.5 in 2018 it lost its appeal for me
I played for the first time in about 2 years a few days ago. I got immediately bombarded with insane amounts of "battle passes" and "crate boxes" and these flashy, colourful events which were just gambling with makeup on it. It's insane. This game is not what it used to be. I lost about 5 games in a row where I quite literally did about double the damage the player below me did.
Remember 2v7ing with my cousin on the temple map after our teammates all died, we were both in M3 Lee’s. We somehow ending up winning. I miss this game so bad.
Started playing this game when I started secondary school. Now I'm in university... I came back to this game after not playing for a long time. Wargaming seems to just put out premium tanks like its nothing now, unfortunate to see this is how they will stay relevant. Although the game is still fun in moderation.
I remember I used to play on my macbook because it couldn't run the normal game. I played it so so much and I remember the introduction to so many things. After I got my PC I haven't played in ages and this just makes me remember the good old days.
Seeing these videos reminds me that i have such an legendary childhood memories .Even though it was not very popular back then but the old things are always a big hit in nostalgia when it comes to these vids. The only things i want is some old maps to be available again , The memories came from those.
I remember the good old days! No crates, Battle Pass, overpowered tanks or 5.5 just a fun game. The maps had more variety and the tanks actually had a normal destroyed look whit the hatches open. What we have now is a complete different WG who makes the game unplayable and full of OP tanks/pay to win elements. I miss the good old days so much😢
as someone who started back in 2019 on my mom`s phone, to now, on my own laptop, with 2 tier 10s, with 3 more on the way i don`t think you guys missed the old wot blitz you just miss being happy.
I remember watching my brother play world of tanks on my mom’s old iPad, and that was in 2014. Nowadays, the game is practically a gambling site for people to spend 100$ and get nothing. WG is just thirsty for money now
Back then when the maps were good no collectors tanks, the op tanks were the is3 defenders and Luchs, no crates, gambling… damn it really was peak and half the lower tech tree was still their not in a battle pas like WTF why a battle pass it’s not worth it. I don’t tbh like I still play it but it’s just ain’t the same
Started playing in 2014, i have many great memories with the game. Clutching 1v3 in jagdpanther on lost temple. Playing on a big hill on one of sand maps which was later reworked. Still miss the big sand hill
It makes me sad to remember those old maps, I really miss that golden era of wot Blitz, I barely played that game when I was studying high school, I remember my first tier 6 premium tank, the Dicker Max, I remember my p43 ann, when I played on those old ones maps, literally the game became more of pay to win.
