I love my Leopard! It actually has the best armor in the game, because you're never lit and never exposed. It forces you to play a fundamentally sound game, using your circles, being aware of where the enemies are and who can see you while you looking for good shooting angles. Being aggressive in the Leo is an advanced skill for sure ... o7 Mr Paul. It's a hard tank to play well. For me, the fun is in the challenge. BTW, best WN8 of all my tier 10 meds (8), and holds my damage record at about 7700. Thanks for another great video.

Angling in the Leopard is great. It allows you to stop virtually any kind of machine gun round!

I like to use my hp in the beginning of the game.

So many words to describe the Leopard to say that you should play it like a T67.

This essentially applies to all tanks .....use/explore strengths and know ALL weaknesses. My Tiger I on the bottom of a 3-5-7 ? I'm going to support, hit tracks non-stop and hope for a miracle. T-28 Proto ? Tier 8 blows but not so much with a Tier 10 gun. Etc. Etc.

I play a lot of zero armor tanks and TD's so this makes sense. I usually have the view range of medium or light so it makes sense to take a forward position and try to work a ridgeline or pile of bushes. I do not last long if I'm seen though. It really alters the playstyle.

I wanted to lend my support to Claus for his non-ranting, (humorously accurate) compare and contrast of two of his favorite mediums. Yes, it is true that we depend upon Claus for the wacky, sarcastic, justifiably indignant against WG in a every-person's way. It is also true that we could get a more detailed yet omitting explanation of how to play either the Leo I or the Skoda by watching "one of the other guys we watch". We need to remember that this doesn't happen very often with Claus because 1) Claus doesn't have a very good memory requiring that number 2 happens) Claus sometimes has two good battles soon enough after the other to spark an idea of interesting content. (I jest of course. Maybe). #ShoutOutToYouGuys!

love my Leopard 1..playing it has made me better with my Stabby1 too as it plays just like a Leo1 BUT with a turret which is not made of tissue paper and ammo racks...i've bounced shots off its turret from a the Waffle a few times and mabye a Deathstar in one game as well but not certain >;)

SantaClaws you should play more LT and show us what your strategy is. I like playing LT and i am the suckest but when i have a good game in a LT it's really really good.

Your xp was more in your skoda because you were spotting for yourself. In your leo you were only getting 50% xp because most of what you shot at you hadn't spotted for yourself.

Only got as far as the Leopard PTA so far - but the strengths / weaknesses and play style is pretty much the same for the PTA and even the poor old Indien! Sneak-shoot-scoot - rinse-repeat unless spotted then run for the hills!

Funny thing about this first map , after my 5 years of playing this game, is that over and over again I see ppl get at E 9 and 0 ( where this rocks are) and than sitting there and wait enemy to get bored and make some stupid move so they will shoot em. So what I have learned from the time I played in "Clan Wars" was let enemy pas thru this camping position and than get em in the open when they can not get fast in the cover, they can not go fast under hill which is at their back and everything will be finished quite quick, but you know,,, tactic in random game O_o. Actually this first map is all wait and let enemy all come close to us, dont shoot, let em come close on the open field and than demolish em totally. Same is for E1-F1. Same is with corner of doom at A,B-1 on the sec. map. You know who win that corner? The team who has more HP (in about 90% cases).

I think we should talk about the real shit in WOT: enemy tanks shooting through MOUNTAINS, teleporting tanks ( Yeah INTERNET-problem,..... BUAHAHAHAHA!), jumping mouse cursors in "the moment of truce" , unrealistic tanks turning (I was a tank driver so do not tell me anything else!) etc etc etc etc. The only good things are the grafics but the rest is plain customer betrayal!!! I really must tell all the newbees not to play this game because it is NOT fair and it is NOT balanced. The aussies and the kiwis learned quickly about that and in consequence their server goes deep south with sometimes less than 100 players in the net. Before the tanks are not COMPLETELY upgraded and the crews are well over 100%, you will NEVER get a fair chance in that game and you will always end up as cannon food for the "betterpayers". I just play it for the graphics -which I really like!- If you want a truthful comment on the WOT game machine, you are unable to call it otherwise than a "digestion product".... in one sentence: WANT MY MONEY BACK !!!!!

Ahh, the Leopard 1... My first tier X tank (BIG MISTAKE). Playing the Leopard 1 gave me PTSD to be honest. And I consider myself a decent and passionate Leo1 driver (1k games in it with 56% winrate). Even I gave up playing that tank made out of ammoracks and started grinding the russian mediums. PS. I played that meme of a tank using 2 repair kits. I even have a recording of a replay where I repaired my ammorack, the second shot hit my ammorack again, I repaired it once again, and the 3rd shot hit my ammorack once again. That was one of my last games in that hopeless tank (maybe I played a couple more games because I was that stupid).

Loved that video. The only tier X i have is a leopard 1 with a all femal crew, 5+ perks, this help. However was playing this tank like any medium then i realise how weak the armor is in the game. Klaus show me a better way to use it. Have friends that really WORKED on LEOPARD 1, and what they told me, the LEOPARD1 is victim of russian bias. Altough he have less armor and was designe for mobility, the armor should had still resiste some shot from russian tank. Really wonder how much realism is put into tank capabilities in this game more than ever. Way too many Russian tank are OP in this game and war in 1967 & 1973 in middle east (Isreal vs the rest) demonstrate how those Russian tank were not that great.

You seem to like auto-loaders - I think it ruins the Pz.Sfl1C - a 50mm gun would load every 2.3 seconds ( or a bit faster ) - The 3 shots are never enough, I always die during the long, stupid reload ...

Leo match was bad, 11-6 with barely 2k damage means you got carried. So MM won the match. If the enemies were winning the pushing more than probably MM were on their side and your Leo couldn't snipe unspotted to give more damage. More likely got spotted and focused and game over.

Errr uuhh but Claus you said don't trade HP when you're in a leopard but then you go ramming tanks and trading HP errrr uuhhh Im so confused now. Good series, thanks for the strategy. Did you record your audio on this one as you played? Sure sounded like it. I must get me one of those kill-stealing auto loaders and win the thanks of my team mates. :P

Then, driving the M48 means forget about pen? Since, for some reason I manage to bounce off a Leo1 from time to time. (But hey, I also managed to bounce off an ELC...)

It pisses me off so much that the Leopard 1 has paper thin armor and the SU-BS TDs have armor from God.

And not to mention all the * ping ping ping MOVE ping ping * because some players do NOT understand what Skoda can and can't do , it's an opportunistic tank and good assistant from mid range , anything DERPY can ruined a Skoda fast . And in My case , I am not bad with it but I aint a Uni who can be a brawler no matter what tank and how many of them are in my face , so I stick to the gameplay I'm decent at and always trying to improve so maybe one day * yeah right * I can brawl more effectively in it .

You can't always play a tier 10 medium tank like a sniping TD and expect to win while your lower tier teammates have to hold the line. But you have no choice; since in most cases a Leopard is unplayable at the front. That's why it has one of the lowest average winrates in the game. Leopard is not even a good support vehicle. It has one of the worst soft stats in the game. Compare Leopard with K-91 as a support tank you'll see what I mean

Somehow your tactics work for me most of the time. The stunts quickybaby does gets me killed 100% of the time. Nothing against him, but if he or other very good youtubers comment on tanks, i usually don`t take it too seriously.

If they were spotting properly your Leopard would have been spotted in the middle there and probably would have gotten your tank killed. The enemy team pretty much ignored that center. A bad decision on their part. In most battles the enemy knows to try and spot that area for hidden tanks so that Leopard would have been in peril due to its soft armor in normal circumstances. Anyway GG.

hey claus man you should give the Standard B a try. and if you want to make sweet,sweet love with it try using the fully upgraded tank with gold rounds, oh baby yaaaaahhh !!! lol but not to many cause those babys ain't cheap!

How to play the leopard? Not - you just don't play it. If you accidantelly press battle in it, you stay at the back and do not participate in the game as a top tier medium should and the still better option is not to play it at all. Dont even grind the line - as it is.

claus how about doing a vid on be able to watch your old replays, or show where to get the files to be able to watch the old files and to be able to convert them to regular vid format and then burn to disk

I think the map is important too. In bouth games i would played in the same position with those tanks.

Then how do you deal with these paper thin mediums....in a city map. No many ridges, bushes or space in the streets next the other heavies. I like your video, but love to know how you best use 1 tank (type/nation) on different types of maps.

It's not about the spotting assist Claus. You get more xp when you spot your own targets

Good light tank play explanation. Active vs passive spotting. The lower tiers r really tough to do with a light tank. No firepower, no armor. Without camo n 6th sense, its like a bullseye on your forehead!
