Wot i Fink : Doctor Who Character Options Fourteenth Doctor Sonic Screwdriver - STANDARD EDITION! 

*_IMPORTANT NOTE : Please read before commenting_* Upon reflection I feel that I haven't quite represented my thoughts in the latter part of the video very well. So I'd like to clarify a couple of things below. Firstly in regards to the exclusive edition, please go and watch my review video of that, as it might give some more context to my thoughts in this video, more specifically how I agree that not marketing or making the hidden features more well known was a mistake. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-HJZsT20ORIk.html Secondly, I appreciate that many people missed out on the exclusive version, but as mentioned, regardless of knowledge of the hidden features, by being exclusive and limited in nature it was always a high possibility it was going to sell out quickly, so people being so shocked by that doesn't really make sense to me. However given that CO is doing another run of these, and now people are aware of the hidden features, then those with the means available to do so, have plenty of time to save and prepare to buy one this time around knowing it will likely sell out quickly again. You know it's coming, you know the price it will be, there will very likely be a press release with a more specific release date in future. I've said it before and I'll say it again, if you REALLY want something that badly you need to be prepared to put the work in to get it, if you do and you miss out on it, then sadly that's the just the bad luck of the draw. There's been many a time I've been in that boat myself, but from that I've learnt to prepare, but if you have the time and means to prepare but you don't, then you can't act like you didn't have opportunity.

"if you want the extra features get the exclusive one" i managed to get it, and I love it. But it wasn't easy/won't be easy to get their hands on when it re-releases. I think both of them should be as available as one another so you can buy the one with the better features if you so wish yknow?

None of the extra features are advertised on the website. So it's just expected fans know about them. To an outsider, why pay almost double and not know why? No hate, just having a conversation lol

I would gladly pay more if they put the extra features in the standard screwdrivers. I feel like every fan would.

My dad got me the Standard edition as an early birthday present 🎁 and in all honesty I am happy enough with it. I even prefer the standard edition to the exclusive one. I much prefer the style of the packaging on the standard and overall look of the standard version. The chrome while nice on the special edition, isn’t a dealbreaker for me. I also prefer accuracy. The standard one appears to be more accurate to the prop so I love that. I also feel that both are priced well enough for what you pay for. The standard one still has 5 sound FX which is great. I understand peoples disappointment with the secret light features not being included however, that would have been way more expensive for CO to produce. I completely agree with you btw. Xx

I don't know why people are complaining about extra features when we don't even know if those extra features are going to appear in the episodes. This sonic appears in. Plus, in all the images we have seen of the sonic, including the leaked image of it, the sonic was glowing blue and not any of other colours that the exclusive one includes.

Life's too short to lose your temper over a toy...I missed out on the exclusive and I paid a hefty price (at a retail store) for the standard sonic..oh well, at least I didn't get it from a scalper on flea bay!!..lol

I guess maybe there's an argument that they're doing what a lot of companies do and purposely making it a limited edition to increase sales. As in if it was just a more expensive version that wouldn't be too bad but so many companies purposely manipulate fans because they know as soon as they put that limited edition label on something it will sell out. Its good business but it does feel a bit shitty to the consumer a lot of the time as it purposely manipulates the consumer to buy it as soon as possible as they only have a limited window before its gone for good. Thats more of an industry issue though than a CO issue tbh.

Have a feeling it could be like the Whittaker sonic, where the character options ones where more accurate look wise but the Seven20 was play wise more accurate (spinning crystal). In this case the extra lights in a sonic that looks more like the standard edition. Like I'm struggling/I've struggled to get either (they release while im at uni or work then are sold out when i got back and no way im paying scalper prices), so makes no difference to me, but completely agree: why would a 500 ml (Blue lights) bottle have the same contents/price as a 2L(Blue, Yellow, Red & Green lights) one

I think the only annoying thing with the fact that the extra features are in the chrome one is that if u go to a place like comic con or something and u like cosplay and if u want to bring the chrome one because it has those extra lights u do run the risk of breaking it because of the material it’s made of but I do understand that character are using what resources they have and can’t use something like metal on it and I am not trying to sound ungrateful and I do think they have done a great job also would u ever consider doing a video to see if it’s possible to put the special features in the standard version?

Meh the extra features are just that - extra. I'll live without them

Some people have no idea how much money it costs for CO to make all these wonderful doctor who toys that we all love. When you consider back in the 80's and 90's all we had was Dapol.
