Today I would like to share with you my latest project in which I am modding an office chair into a helicopter SimPit seat and added a bass shaker to feel the chopper by the seat of my pants :)
This chair mod is a project for my office sim pit. This is not a how-to guide but rather just a project I wanted to share on how I made it for myself. Hope it will inspire somebody. Thanks for watching!

What kind of mill and lathe are you using here? I really like this!

I am using a Harbor Freight BD812 8x12 Bench Lathe and a Harbor Freight Mini Mill. They don't sell the lathe anymore but there are plenty others around with similar features. I bought them some 15 years ago and still work like the day I got them. These are indispensable tools for me as a tinkerer. Just beware that the machines are the cheaper part of the setup, what really hurts the wallet are all the accessories for them. Machining vise, cutting tools, bits, collars, a never ending list but most can be added over time. I am thinking of making a video about my workshop and tools if there is enough interest.
