I usually don’t tell the stylist if they flat out mess up my hair. I generally just don’t go back. I went to a new stylist years back as my regular stylist wasn’t available. I requested a silk press and uncertain how or why, but my ends appeared fried. I took my flat iron and was able to smooth them out for the most part, but not all of them, not completely. I’m honestly not sure why my ends were crinkled or crispy like. It looked pretty in the shop because she curled the ends so I couldn’t see the ends until I was getting ready for bed and rolling my hair. It was unusual as that had never happened before. I didn’t contact her, I just didn’t go back. Thankfully there wasn’t much damage, and my stylist was able to dust my ends about 1/4 inch and I got the smooth finish that I typically get after she styled it. I did trust my regular stylist enough that I would probably ask her about something I felt she did wrong, but someone I have never gone to before, I just don’t go back.
My old stylist told me that her next client was coming in for a black rinse and that she only had dark brown.... she said the client wasn't going to notice it 😩😩 It's vicious out here 🥴

No, usually I would not say anything if it's a new person, I'll pay them and probably never go back. That's depending on how bad it looked.... I may try them one more time. After the second time and they mess up I would not go back 🎉
Hi Janay! What detangling combs do you use? I’ve been having such a hard time detangling at home but I am having issues with my scalp so I know that might be making things harder for me and finding products that moisturize my hair without leaving any residue on my scalp
