That part of the world only has 4 months of great weather with long daylight hours. So the people really love and support festivals and concerts. They have 8 months of rain, ice and snow. With daylight hours diminishing down to six hours. Children play outside until 11 pm the whole world comes alive during the good weather. Let's hear it for the musicians too. Norway has a real feel for jazz.

This venue goes over 6-7 weeks during each summer, at Fredriksten Festning (fortress) in Halden, close to the border to Sweden. It is live on TV on the same weekday, usually having between 5-6000 people each week/time. Angelina has been there 3 times, at 8 (1), 10 (1) and 11 (2), singing 4 songs altogether. All are on youtube. She sung "What a difference a day makes", Feeling good", "Its now or never" and "Somethings got a hold on me". I have been there twice for Angelina, perfect weather and an experience of a lifetime 😊

As I learned later on from proud Norwegians, about 2 weeks after her performance here, the people of Norway declared her their National Treasure. Even today in 2024 the still is their Treasure, as well as a light and hero for the younger generations.

What makes this so incredible is not just her vocals, but her phraseology and timing at that age

After she won Norway’s Got Talent she would perform at summer concerts in Norway for different charities. Norwegians are proud of her. I don’t know if she still does them because she and her family have moved to Los Angeles and she has been signed by Republic Records.

In the history of the world, no 8yr old human has ever sung so beautiful and never will in the future. To me this performance is a masterpiece and should be shown to all beginning singers. Tell them to do it like this!!

Indeed that is the same Festival (Venue) this was in 2014 after her win on NGT .. the crowd love her and Angelina also love to sing there .. like she did in the following years .. you has seen the other already .. The festial is helds below a old Fortress on the Border to Sweden .. Alsang pa Grensen means Singing at the Border .. 5000 to 7000 Visitors every year and I think most of them come to see and listen to Angelina .. She just postphoned her two Jazz Concerts in Norway in July to next year due the current situation .. so sad .. I was barely on my way .. it's around 700 miles away but every single one worth ..

What is most remarkable to me here is that the 8yo Angelina, isolated on a tiny stage, 10m from her backup singers and 10m more from the band, with endless people in basically every direction, is utterly comfortable and unfazed by it all, closes her eyes and gently sways back and forth, and delivers an extraordinary performance as though it was routine. Actually for her, it is exactly that!

Well, I don't have your phone number, but if you put "Amira Willighagen - O Mio Babbino Caro for English speaking viewers" in your YT search window you will find a little Dutch girl that sings pretty good too. She sings opera... learned how by watching YT videos all by her self, just because her brother was going to play an instrument at a festival and she wanted to participate too. It's a fun video. 😉As for this AJ performance. It took place at "allsång på grensen" (sing along at the border). The border is the one between Norway and Sweden in this case. You see we Swedes and our dear neighbors the Norwegians just love to sing along. That's why if you see a video from these events (that was captured from a TV broadcast), the lyrics are often scrolling at the bottom of the screen. This is so the TV audience too can sing along at home... Although during some songs just the artist sings, to promote their latest single or they just sing their biggest hit song. This is often followed by another song directly afterwards in which the audience participates with the artist. The (arguably) most famous of these outdoor sing along events takes place several times each summer (or it did, before 2020...) in Sweden at a outdoor museum called "Skansen". The TV program is therefore called "Allsång på Skansen" (Sing along at Skansen), it's been very popular for decades... And a big talking point among Swedes, where we discuss which host does the best job and which artists we like too see more of and stuff... 😊👍

This is not a festival. Its an annual thing every summer where they invite various artists, both current and previously to perform some of theire biggest hits, or just covers of popular songs. Its usually aired on TV. Angelina has performed there several times.

Ok, I'll accept your challenge. Two young children come to mind, Charlotte Church being first and then Jackie Evancho. Actually there is a third, Brenda Lee who got her start when she was 5 years old but the recording industry was much different back then. Hi Highly, this was about a month after NGT 2014 and her first time singing at the festival. Fun fact is, the audience can sing along, they can get leaflets with the lyrics. Whenever possible AJ comes over from LA now to sing here, or at the very small and intimate Proysen hueset festival in the countryside (audience just about 200-300). Here at the Alsang Pa Grensen, most times it is around 3000 to 6000 people, especially when people know AJ is coming. Stay save and healthy. Gg.

It is from TV 2 they have this kinda song outdoor ting every summer in Halden a military fortress outside Halden city 10 kilometers from Sweden border :) It is tons of Swedish folks in the audience too :) And she is insane good i love her :) I am from Norway so for me this is insane good to watch and the back singers is fenomenale for also for other singers here. Every year Nordic countries (Norway, Sweden & Finland & Denmark perhaps)celebrate the coming of spring season, hence the flower crowns and the colours. Angelina has been on these celebrations 4 times as I gather from some fans. I can remember her singing "Feeling good" at 10 & "It's a man's world at 11/12 on stage this time.

" Allsang på grensen" ( sing-along on the border) is a musical tv- show in Norway. The location is in "Halden" close to the border between Norway and Sweeden. It started in 2007, and is an annual show. They host diffrent popular artists from Norway and Sweden who sings covers and original hit- songs!

I disagree. she is NOT reincarnated, and she wasn't "Born" singing. SHE has an Ear for Music and the Voice's that go along with them. That Said, she has the ability to match those voices, Much like an "Impersonator" does voices of famous people. Angelina sang, what she heard, and added her "Touch" of emotion, empathy, and elegance. She went to a small record shop where the family lived, and would listen to Jazz, that she liked, and then she would add her unique ability to "Tell the story" of the song, not simply read the words. Her vocal abilities, the vibrato, and melisma's the rasp, were all sounds that the early Jazz exposed to her, and she learned them all!! The Music school she attended told her that she was beyond their teaching skills, and she needed to go. most important, is the protection, and nurturing she gets from Family. their support is everything that Angelina needed to become the rising star she IS! her Originals, are like reading from her diary, and what a thoughtful, kind person she is.
