I closed my eyes and thought I was in a smoky jazz bar only to eventually awake and find myself without a whisky

The interviewer asked, among other things, what Angelina had been doing since she won Norway's Got Talent and what she will do this summer. Angelina answered that she had been to school and that she will go to USA this summer both for holiday and to sing.

This flowergirl can sing. 💐The roses🌹 in her hair sprung out from the warmt in her smooth voice and they could been wathered with all the tears from her audience💦

This one is awesome because of the huge crowd. Angelina is fearless and delivers. Imagine that you're a seasoned adult female singer in your mid-thirties and the concert director asks you to sing back up for an 8 year old. Oh wow. You are discovering that the Angelina fan base is not only massive and loyal but a very interactive and family-like group. Many fans draw daily inspiration by listening to Angelina songs.

the show is called Sing along on the border, been on TV in Norway and Sweden since 2007, they invite artists and the audience can sing along to old hits they also add lyrics on screen so those watching at home can join in. Angelina been a guest several times

what a day when you start it with Angelina and yes , there are many kids who are very outspoken ,,,,almost like adults but not her i think she never wants to waste time on talking ,(we talk way to much) and she tells us so much more by singing , her voice, expressions her aura ,,,,,,,thats whats important and pure,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,thanx

I actually have stopped wondering and am going to take Angelina at her word. She stands there as a child smiles and laughter and then the music starts. She has stated in numerous interviews from the age of five that she goes to a different world where every thing is bright and beautiful way beyond what is here. Peaceful and just wonderful. At times if you look closely you catch her coming back. Watch the end of I Put a Spell On You. I know this is beyond the pail but there is no way that she has the experience or world knowledge to convey the emotions she emotes. She literally connects to your soul with her resonance and harmonics. The vibrations literally melt the listener. No it’s not a cult of blind followers, it knowledgeable listeners of music from young to old. We see it. We feel it. We wonder how.

This IS one of my favorites because I’m old enough to remember when it was a hit in the fifties, sung by Dinah Washington. Angelina’s version channels that, and she does it beautifully. Angelina, even at 8 years old, chooses a “voice” that fits the song. I didn’t understand your comment about her voice sounding like when she sang I Put a Spell on You. This is intentionally different, I think. And while we concentrate on her voice and her stage presence, we just take for granted her timing. She is always right in the groove-waiting, delaying, stretching notes, and sounding like someone who’s been singing blues and jazz for decades. It’s almost ignored because we’re blown away by the voice, but that timing is always right in the pocket. Yes, I really enjoy your reviews, but you still haven’t seen some of Angelina’s best work and an entirely different facet of her talent. You need to watch some acoustic Angelina where there’s only a guitar and Angelina. Not only do you hear her beautiful low register, but you’ll also hear the best interpreter of lyrics singing today. Try: A Million Years Ago, or Born to Die, or You We’re Always on My Mind. They’re just stunning in their simplicity-and you hear Angelina’s straight tone, soul, and interpretation.

There is a movie with Angelina and her Mom on top of the fortress before a concert - It looks like a relaxing familie on picnic. You kan NOT see, Angelina is having a big concert in about an hour...!

Let me set the stage: 1930s Chicago night club. The lights dim, the room filled with the haze of cigarette smoke. The pianist begins to play, the people in the audience sits quiet, listening to the sound of the band, trumpets, clarinets, trombones, saxophones, playing a soft melody. Then a single spot light comes on, focused on center stage. And there stands a six year old girl, captivating her audience with that soulful, raspy voice. This kid is an old soul.

When Angelina is so identified with her source of inspiration, she leaves me absolutely amazed, when she performs in this Norwegian festival "Sing-along at the Border", at the Fredriksten fortress at Alden, near the border with Sweden, almost every year, she really gives her best, you see that she has a good feeling with the environment. How is it possible that a little girl (in this case at 8 years old) is so incredibly emotional and talented as a professional singer to completely involve and fascinate the his audience. It's simply fantastic, when she closes her eyes she really seems to be in contact with Dinah Washington. You are in our same conditions Tyler, how do you say which interpretation you prefer? They are all so different and so incredibly beautiful, that it is especially impossible, you can only love her 🤗 Angelina often participates in this event and you will see that there are several of her performances over the years, always beautiful. She brings into the moment into her world the song they mention old soul b.s I am a old sole. Great songs and she just came from the heavens with a fresh young soul and there are few other young talents that gives you a fresh new horizon.

I’ve been listening to this song that she’s singing for 3 days now.it doesn’t get old, can’t get enough of this young girls talent.

The setting is a traditional annual summer festival on the Norway/Sweden border. This is the summer after she won NGT in the spring at age 8, so she is already famous in Norway. This is a Grammy (1959) winning song by Dinah Washington. Angelina just slays it! I'm still in awe at how an 8 year old child can sing this song with such authority, beauty, and emotion. Thank you for your reaction! What blows my mind is her perfect pronunciation of the English words when that's not her first language. Can you imagine learning songs in another language at the age of 8 and pronouncing them so well? I know I can't imagine myself doing that at any age lol.

Alan Walker is a Norweign DJ and writes music but when he was in Bergen his home town he Invited Angelina to sing. Faded was huge in 2016 1billion views yet he had Angelina singing his song while playing the piano and musicians when normally it is just dj electrifying. She is so mature it was at night thousands there. If you want to check it out you will be shell shocked as his music is the opposite from what she does. I watch her everyday to make my day better. This video just popped up and I missed it (from a couple of years ago). First of all, I hope you are fine. This video and her performance ranks as a favorite Angelina video for many, many Angelina 'angels' including yours truly! Everything about it is literally mind blowing. She may have been physically 8 years old when she sang this but we just listened to someone with a 100 years of music in her soul and that soulfulness converts into a form of love which touches our hearts and we cannot resist. Magic? It is a reality!

A note on that video of her singing at 1.5 year old... it is only a 5 second clip, so you will not find it in a standalone video anywhere. The kid has the vocals and the ability to act. Doesn't mean she understands the meanings or feelings of these adult emotions. Anyway she is truly gifted.

You mentioning her speaking voice is something we so often overlook. I always smile when she says something after she finishes a performance, especially when she was this young, as that amazing mature singing voice that makes you forget she is just a child is suddenly replaced by the voice of that child and shocks you back into this bizarre reality.

Some trivia about the venue. The TV show is called "Allsang på grensen" ("Sing along on the border") at the Fredrikshald fortress in Halden, Norway, near the border to Sweden. In the forest behind the stage the Swedish king Karl XII was killed 30 november 1718 at the Swedish siege of this Norwegian fortress. Thus ended the long period of Sweden as a super power of the Baltic region.
