Probably a bit early, but a big request and something I wanted to get an early start on. Will also cover races & professions just like vanilla. Might be a bit for those though. Vote! What class are you? www.strawpoll.me/39006063 . I will also update this post with errors as people find them. 5:10 Hunter 12:36 Woyer(Warrior) 17:42 Mage 22:29 Priest 26:52 Warlock 30:58 Druid 37:00 Rogue 41:00 Paladin 48:54 Shaman Errors: Shadow word death is usable on targets of any health level(must have been another expansion it was changed to an execute ability) Dwarves and draenei get chastise(2 sec root) in exchange for losing exclusivity of Fear Ward. It was confirmed that it'll be 2.4 balance also, so except every priest race to have fear ward I don't think I did justice in explaining that warriors are weaker than their vanilla counterparts. Some people make it out as if they'll never get a raid spot, which I think is an over-exaggeration, but they're definitely weaker in TBC than they are in vanilla. Warrior's Rampage ability requires manual refreshing every 30 sec
Since I started in BC I will totally come back for BC Classic. And since I really liked your classic guides and videos the last days I was wondering If u put up a video like the class guide for BC. And since I am quite casual I really need this to make my desicion
I'm playing Prot Pally, honestly for my fellow brethren I hope Seal of Blood is on both factions. And I hope duel spec is included, but for like 5K not 1K like Wotlk!
@@GereifteTraube for casual, hunter is best for solo play, shaman are the most wanted so you will always get a group, mage / druid are most wanted for pvp, and paladins are probably the best gold farmer for instance boosting.
@@MitchellNabkey Absolutely true ! I would add that Hunter / Warlocks are top tier dps in PvE, closely followed by Mage, with Hunter solid all throughout the expansion, while Warlocks scale incredibly with gear, especially in the latter half (as they usually do).
@@MitchellNabkey I remember playing a Shaman during SSC times. Doing DPS in the first phase of Lady Vashj and then starting to heal in phase two and three and still topping the actual heal meters. Shaman OP
But sadly it won't bring me the same joy I had 13 years ago... Some friends moved, others died, and some friendships were broken. Plus growing up it's not that great. Everyone is playing to optimize their gameplay and not have fun for the most part. I've seen it with classic wow and Legion, BFA ...
Same. I started in BC and stopped playing at the announcement of pandas. Now being all grown up with responsibilities, I don't see myself having time to play, but I definitely would with the release of BC.
everytime i hear your intro it calms my soul and warms my body. instead of binging a tv show i just watch a playlist of your videos, madseason! thank you for doing this. as an introvert made worse by the pandemic, thank you!
You are by far and away my favourite content creator for Classic info, you are incredibly knowledgable without the ego that usually goes with it, it's clear you love the game and your voice is perfect for relaxed listening, and we share a good sense of humor. So thanks
I think my favorite point of TBC was levelling as a elemental-resto shaman. I forgot the exact build, I think it was 30-0-21. You dip into elemental mastery and nature's swiftness, allowing you to instantly cast Chain Lightning with 100% crit chance. OP stuff. Also allows you to level solo and heal dungeons fine all the way up until heroics and karazhan.
This video isn't just about picking a class. It also shows how good TBC is for all classes. Blizzard addressed all the classes issues and made all of them viable in one way or another. Classic was just the beginning.
I believe Shadow Word: Death can be used versus targets more than 20% health. You just take the damage to yourself aswell unless the target dies to your SW:D.
Evening Mr. Season, I know you have put up the helm for making Warcraft videos, but I’m crossing my fingers in hopes you come back at least to make a video on which class to choose in wrath. I just miss my madseason ASMR.
So hyped for blizzconline, I hope we get to see TBC and maybe even get to play for a few days, like we could at blizzcon prio to the launch of classic.
There’s just something so much more satisfying about the older talent trees, so much customization and way more of a sense of progression compared to retail, can’t wait for BC, already kind of fizzling out with shadowlands 😑
These old skill trees.. Felt like that every level up mattered. (Thinking back, it didn't even matter that much since most of the time you just gained like 2% more damage haha but back then that was the shit)
I was just thinking to myself today. "Hmm, I could really use a new Madseasonshow video soon." 30 minutes later and boom. The madlad puts out a full on TBC Class guide. A gentleman, and a scholar to be sure.
i like listening to videos while i play, and since i have covid right now, your soft voice caters well to my constant splitting headache. thank you sir
Now thats its coming, and probably earlier than expeceted.... i just cant wait anymore. Years of wow-pleasure to come. Years of madseasonvideos. Times will be good.
@@madseasonshow - Thanks for answering! Chris is amazingly talented. I already own the Risk of Rain 2 album, also from Bandcamp. "Coalescence", "The Rain Formerly Known as Purple" and "con lentitud poderosa" are three of my favorite songs of his. The soundtrack is what elevates RoR2 from a "great" -> "superb" game. Edit: P.S. Great video! I'm going to main a Shadow Priest I'm fairly sure.
Shaman Class Showcase with "Valley of the Fallen Star" in the background! Caught me off-guard and gave me Crit-goosebumps! Loving the detail! Great Video!
@@TuomasRoin Hopefully not unless Blizz does some changes in management :/ Stopped playing any Blizz games mostly because they kept making decisions that killed their games. But one can hope that Blizz, or rather Activision change
MACE SPECIALIZATION! As a lifelong arms player, this thing was so OP. I remember dueling outside IF and people being so confused by what happened to them. And once you got Stormherald...
I had to rewatch the Shaman section at the end because i was jamming too hard to the music.. good choice man lol. Loved that way back when... serious blast from the past. Great video again dude
I started wow in tbc and my first class was a hunter. Playing classic, it was frustrating at first and the classes felt so incomplete but i did get used to it. But I'm excited that it's going to get to what I'm so nostalgic about
You have done a fantastic job putting this together for our viewing pleasure. I appreciate the time and effort you have taken to present your thoughts in this feature. Until TBC then.
Vanilla is nostalgic, and I had a great time in those early days, but TBC was the era I played the game more than during any other. I had time on my hands, and I used it. The game kept me busy. My experience in vanilla was spent mostly leveling up, with a little raiding right at the end. But during TBC, I did everything.. PvE, PvP, leveling and gearing a bunch of characters... it was insane. And I loved every minute. Hard work that paid off! I made some lasting friendships during that time too, including my best online-friend whom I still talk with to this day. I actually skipped Classic.. because I had my dose of nostalgia on Nostalrius and didn’t have irl time to commit to starting over again.. but TBC Classic??? I’m ready.
the thing is... i watched so many madseason classic videos before that released that i now feel nostalgic when i hear his voice (also the FF IX and diablo music has the same effect )
Minor nitpick that has most likely been mentioned: You list MS healing debuff as a pro in the column for warrior in pvp as it's unique to them. Hunters got the MS effect added to Aimed Shot in TBC as well, and rogues always had it with wound poison.
I was holding this video back for a long time.... after my autoplay just played it and it started I simply could not stop watching it *_* MSS you are an absolute overvalue to this world!
@@stigandersen3783 First time I saw it actually. I'm sure my server has one, I just never came across him or her. Regardless, it made me laugh and have to rewind the video. A couple times I had to rewind from laughing.
I'll play Hunter for PvE and Warrior looks funnnn for PvP too wait maybe Mage also they look really strong and hmmm Priest looks great but Warlocks are so good in both PvP and PvE maybe I should make a druid too they look like gods in PvP and feral tanking maybe I'll make a Rogue too they look unbeatable in arenas and I need a Paladin for AoE boosting for gold and a Shaman for 5s too OK I'll just play everything
I played ret paladin (alliance) back in the day during BC. The general consensus around ret paladins being able to raid was boiled down to: "lol ret". Only time I got to raid was on the even of WoTLK, doing some runs in kara for the lols. Got some cool loot, only for it to be irrelevant mere days later.
Thank you Mad, I'm 16 and my friend only got me into wow at the end of BFA so I've never experienced any of the other expansions on release. But I've always been interested in Classic and especially expansions released on Classic. This guide is really going to help me, although I'll probably just go with Paladin which is my main on Retail.
The smooth voice turns out to be really fitting for this overall video IMO. (Slightly whispering style). How the different stuffs in the video come together is well done. Such as zooming in slowly , step by step pictures for the explanations, etc. Good job! If you need some critical feedback: Perhaps adding a few chapters via yt function. (it's good for when you lost track,or were occupied for a minute or two somewhere else) Keep on showing just stuff that you talk about - that's a core part of high quality video making IMO. (with few exceptions such as introduction perhaps) (This is a copy-paste of the previous video I have seen of you, as it is just as fitting...)
It leaked a while ago that they were working on TBC and Wrath for the Classic project. It will be announced at the Blizzconline thing they are doing on Feb 19-20. They might do the expansions after Wrath, but idk how you do those since the final raid of Cata is considered to be the worst raid tier and "borrowed power" begins in MoP which made catching up after the expansion released very difficult, a trend that continues to today.
Every year people talk about what is the hardest class in wow. Google finds you thousands of links to read. People can't agree, and after all these years someone has to finally answer to this question through careful analysis. MadSeasonShow, maybe you can be this guy.
Not gonna lie fresh is what it should be. Classic nilla is like easy mode privates. They shouldn't let people transfer. Classics are stand alone redos for the fans of those expansions it would kill the ah to let yall transfer i know from experience on a private that allowed dying privates to transfer but only allowed peopleto bring 500g among all champs. It still made prices drop because of all the people bringing nilla mats still needed in bc
