Playing on twow since 2021 and it's been a blast! great community, great vanilla + content. Love it!

One should point out that even former Blizzard employees are playing on Turtle WoW. Hell - The Voice of this Trailer is DesignerDave (David Fried) who was with Blizzard since WarCraft II and did lots of map design in WarCraft III and also involved in WoW itself.

Turtle WoW is Vanilla+ as it was meant to be. Very good now. 2025 the new graphics should be available. Unsure of what part of the year though.

Turtle WoW is the best Classic server out there. When you play Twow you simple cannot go back to Retail Classic.

turtle wow is not just that the reason its a super cool server is cause they fixed economy, there is no bot or gold seller with realy cool method to hunt them, there is actual new content that fit classic, and spec are more balanced with the minimal change, no world buff in raid work, and the donation u can make are not realy pay to win its all convenient like bank or mount but no boost or gold or item. I played for years on it its the sanest wow experience i ever had even the world chat is cute most of the time cause there is plenty of mod

Almost none of the people currently at Blizzard were around when the game was made. They've proven that it's only used as a money cow rather than being a work of passion that translates into money - which is what made WoW good. If a company can't keep a legendary IP like Warcraft alive then it's up to the community to take over.

Turtle wow has been around for like 14 years now? I can't wait to experience this... it's also all alpha footage, meaning it's only getting better from there. The other promise of UE is so much better physics elements and lighting, ex you send a fireball down a hallway and see the place light up as it flies... actual indie company pulling off WOW 2.0 before the damn blizz team

also turtle wow has a survival profression which u make to craft torch and camp, and with the lighting limitation lifted u can expect to play a complete different game almost survival horror if they would want to make it that way lol

The worst thing about this is that Blizzard doesnt even care... as long as ppl are willing to pay for 20y old game, buy new shit expansions, pay for ingame stuff, buy golds and do GDPK raids => money flow.... I think it's time for the players to shit on Blizzard - just like they shit on us, unsubscribe and move elsewhere. Blizzard deserves nothing less. I'm playing since 2006 and I cannot watch how this game is ruined by player community and modern "trends"... tbh...private servers have better community than the officials which is sad.

If a private server doesn't charge money, and doesn't distribute any of blizzard's code or assets, then it's just as ethical as fan art. It builds on an IP that...let's be honest, blizzard doesn't have any love for anymore.

Turtle WoW is amazing, and the team has far more heart and care for the game than Blizzard does nowadays, highly recommend you all stop paying for an inferior version like I did over a year ago, I haven't looked back since!

the graphics is nice and all, but UE5 basically enables ultimate super saiyan form for the devs. the old client is absolutely horrible to work with and makes creating classic+ content very very hard. Turtle will become what Path of Exile is to Diablo (SoD).

Clearly blizzard is just milking us with the least amount of effort tbh, the real question why hasn't blizzard lvld it's 2024 the tech is there.

While it steals wows original IP it has improved on it 100x where blizzard failed and it gave us the players what we want, this is why we still have 4k to 6k regular number of players on Twow, we know its not permanent but ill be damned if i give blizzard who hate their playerbase another dime of my money when instead I can play on this masterpiece of a free server.

The biggest upgrade is that they can develop new content VERY fast and easy in UE5.

Blizzard cant do the anti-cheat system stuff. Bots have to pay for a sub and there is no way Blizzard is willing to get rid of those bot sub dollars.

its basically wow with shaders lol, its like one of those videos where people put shaders on minecraft, 4k HD sky and water but blocky, if the textures were also updated to not look like paper then yeah.

I hope turtle wow can get consoleport to work with this one. Its the one thing that's holding me back(wrists are mush from too much M&K)

They can recreate classic wow in unreal engine - Its like taking picasso painting and ask some making a more realisitic version eg its really only a enhanced clone . The thing thats lacking really is the unreality , everything has basicilly wrong sizes - meshes are to small , and i guess if the do them bigger it only look like the modern kiddie games that now are made in unreal - which i dont play since i can tell they all are made in unreal - Its like having a limited colourpallet that last 10 years with unreal engine games . The limitations are in the gameengine -its to good so it limiting what one does , borders makes creativity not god-mode - classic wow is limited with borders and good -new games not so much

Good graphics enhance gameplay and immersion, but good graphics is not the same as maximising polygons or throwing flashy meaningless garbage all over your screen. I think World of Warcraft's graphics were central to its appeal. One of the game's core pillars is its world, and its world would not have been very fun to explore were it not for the fact that it had like 40 zones that all looked totally different and invited you to explore them and revel in their beauty. Consequently, enhancing the graphics of World of Warcraft with more atmospheric lighting or more detailed assets does in fact significantly enhance the gameplay, because World of Warcraft's rewards isn't the items and levels - it's what the items and levels allow you to explore and the friends it lets you find.

At 4:50 you talking about choices xD and how to make priorities xD but bro WOW is 20 years old xD they would have had plenty of time if they care about meaningful improvements. But blizzard only care about milking the addicted players. What we need are options, exactly what turtle wow promises, if you want to play core vanilla, there should be an option for it, but also for the upgraded version. Its a fuckin shame that a private ''garage'' server with like 4-5 devs can do this, also promise a new anti cheat system, while blizzard with a multi million dollar background does nothing just milking ppl. Classic realms full with BOTS and bug exploiters etc. I love this game, but in recent years, the original servers have more redflags than advantages, and its disgusting. For example, PVP in classic, during the entire WOTLK classic, there was no PVP server in the EU region where there was an active player base in both factions. I understand most of the players dont care about PVP but for those who do, at least one server that is really a "PVP" server should have been provided. But ofc blizzard dont give a shit.

this is literally next to no change so far. Some Lighting changes that the devs could also come close to but chose and argued never to go for (darker nights) and lots of washed out textures. It doesn't look good.
