Amrs v.s Fury Summary: I think Deep wounds and Impale are going to be able to compensate and even best flurry. I think that Two-Handed Weapon Specialization will be able to compensate Improoved Battle Shout. I think that Sweeping Strikes can compensate for Death wish. Overpower should be able to compensate Whirlwind in single target. Mortal strike will loose against slam and blood thirst big time however. So what spec will benefit more from the new Weapon and the new Runes will come out on top. Also how many targets can we hit and in what intervals will they spawn!
@@vitinhoaps Yeah´, true! I´m exited for arms and I wish it will be just as strong as fury! I´m afraid that all the multiplicative dmg amps + short boss fights will make fury too broken :/ #prayingforbladestorm
One thing is that quick strike fills in the attack time gap that 2h weps have as well. So heavy hits with constant attacks might out pace duel wield (maybe)
Next phase dual wield with the alliance q hammer from Hinterlands + vanquishers is gonna slap. The mace has too much base damage and insane proc dmg (gryphon riders stormhammer). you'll need a whole guild to help you do the q, but it's accessible at lvl 40.
Any chance of an updated video with the new datamind runes and weapons of p2? im really undecided of what spec play on p2, waiting p3 (or4?) for dualspec and figure it out. Nice to see some ppl not talking perma bullshit on theorycrafting btw, keep it up !
I doubt they will have an epic 2h drop from the gnomeragon raid. Since SM armory will have ravager axe drop as well as warriors getting WW axe for phase 2. Pretty sure it'll be 1H weapon epic or shield.
I´m afraid that could happen. however, we do also have a epic staff and a epic crossbow in BFD, so by that logic they would also need to not give us a range weapon in purple or a caster weapon in purple. my hopes are, that because we are lvl 40, everyone gets a purple (maybe with crafting as well)
What runes are you thinking to use while leveling in dungeons? Tanking with a 2h. I'am thinking to roll either: - Raging Blow / Quick Strikes / Consumed by rage; or - Blood Frenzy / Endless Rage / Frenzied Assault (If hungry to fuel Sweeping Strikes).
As far as tanking goes....they need to make the runes work with deep prot talents. Right now there is no reason to go for prot talents. You simply don't need the marginal increase in DR you get.
Fury will probably be better DPS if there is a lot of hit gear. Either way, I expect it to be pretty close. Arms was always worse than Fury in Classic because of scaling. But runes like Consumed by Rage and Flagellation take care of the scaling for you. Also, having enough rage to spam MS/WW on CD at level 40 will be INSANE damage (especially with SS). I fully expect that at some point we will get a Taste for Blood rune, which will be very strong but also force us out of Berserker Stance. We will see!
Yeah we will need some runes to save arms from extinction eventually :/ TfB would be a real banger not gonna lie. The strongest talents in arms are impale, and how it works right now, deep wounds.(because it seem to work like in wotlk) fury cant get them on lvl 40, so maybe thats something that saves arms.
you use one spell 1mil sec after your auto attack and then you can use one - two more spells (depend on your speed) until you need to wait, so you can cast your spell right after that auto again ;) If you find the time to get in to this swing timer: www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/swedgetimer its going to be a great help
Classic has always been like that. You don't need tank spec till the final dungeons and even then I tanked as arms. With these runes it will probably be even easier.
Yes indeed! its going to be a bit slower because slam cast longer now. BUT the heroic strike trick mecanic were we would press hs, mid slam cast will be a lot more important because slam can proc wf with a 20% chance instead of the 5%chance we had with swordspec
Do you think that they will keep all the runes on chest hands and pants? I think it's kind of dumb since there will mostly be a best option always. I would love to see a rune for taste for blood like wotlk arms.
thats good news yeah the new runes are very good you can create a very solid ABC (allways be casting) rotation with only heavy hitters. Sadly casting slam will not be a part of it, and instead it will be an instand, in my opinion this means that the spec has no flavour and could as well be anything else.
Thank you for the video, they are always super useful!! One question for current content, I have a half bis war toon, but I don’t have the epic weapon yet, and I feel like single minded fury does more dmg than 2H? Is that normal?
thy! I would need to know your race and the wepoans you have for both 2hand and dual wield to say for sure but it is possible. your talents and group buffs can also have an impact
@@konter4323 for sure, I'm just using the deep wound talent with 1 point in crit you mentioned in your video; tauren is the race; epic chest and some bfd pieces, 2h is just a Brutal war axe of bear; single hands are Outlaw and metor.
@@SAlma-kw7to so your one handers are better then your two hand. what runes do you play with two hand? and do you use 2 sharpening stones if you dont have a feral druid in your group? what is your rotation on dw and two hand? those things have an impact too. I think only this weapon diff should not be the reason alone
@@konter4323 I only tried a little bit with dw but it feels like the rage is faster and overall dps is little higher; yes we did have a feral, and i did use 2 sharpening stones; roationa on dw was waiting till 80 rage then raging blow, and heroic stike, with rend; two hand im trying to learn from the rotation you mentioned. Need to test out more for sure! is there a place to simulate sod dps? or somewhere in game other than BFD that is a good place to test?
@@SAlma-kw7to If you ue sharpening on both weapons and on your two hander, you will not gain wild strikes that would be a reason why dw is better try next time you have a druid to not use a stone on your two hand. sadly there is no good mob to test things right now
right now we need raging blow for that reason. on lvl 40 we have other spells like raging blow to do that job. and we get berserker rage that triggers flag as well and is only on a 30 seconds cd. so zerker rage alone gives us about 30% uptime on flag ;)
@@ForbiddenFollyFollower not if that extra attack just takes the spot of a diffrent skill that you have by default. also getting an extra attack every 10 seconds is allmost the same like 10% dmg since we do roughly attack once a second (with flurry and wild strikes) spells deal more dmg then autos tho it also depends if we talking arms or fury on fury we have slam that has no cd and hits harder then raging blow, on arms however I can see raging blow+camping in battle stance as a way to go. it would be a slow but very hard hitting spec (sounds nice actually)
I've been having a blast with Warrior in SoD. I've tanked the raid and hoping to go as DPS tonight since I picked up the duel wield rune. Would it be worth swapping away from arms talents to fury talents at this level? Deep wounds is pretty nice
@@konter4323 Very late, but the 1% crit is better than the 10% crit damage because that brings your crit damage from 200% to 210%, whereas the crit % accounts for roughly 10% of all of your crits. You get more deep wounds procs, which with how deep wounds works, is mathematically more than the ~5% more damage on crits.
@@garretthunter2916 Yeah so the impale talents is a parse cheese. because if you get lucky, you just have more dmg this way. Impale also is multiplicative so its 100 dmg times 2, and then times 1.1 for example =220 so you got 20 dmg+ out of a 100 hit, with just 10% crit dmg increase.
@@konter4323 A quick peek on Wowhead says you are incorrect on the modifier. It's not 220% damage on a crit, it's 210%, as it's 10% additional modifier, not 10% more damage. "Increases the critical strike damage bonus of your abilities in Battle, Defensive, and Berserker stance by 10/20%." Key Word: Bonus The actual damage increase on critical strikes overall is about half of what the talent adds to the modifier. So at 2/2 It would be as much damage as you're saying, but at 1/2 it's half. With how Deep Wounds behaves like Ignite, the crit is objectively more damage.
@@garretthunter2916 Ah I c, people think its additive. does not matter however, because if you get lucky, as I said its still objectively more damage then 1% crit chance. but I understand that 1%crit averages out to more dmg on our current crit chance.
I’ve got a feeling we’re going to get a titan grip rune. Maybe not in phase 2, but I’d love to see one at some point. Maybe have a brand new class quest line to unlock it.
my man :D as a war tank you do get crit and you even want that from time to time especially if you use the enrage talent, but thats not that bad like for example fishboy in bfd will crit you for 250dmg. you want to get crit to get more rage. if you see your self dying from the next hit if it would crit, you use shield block
Its importand what talents you have available and how they work with your gear and your runes. and thats all there is to it. you cant make a 100%accurate gueas if you only have runes, or talents or gear
@@konter4323 the new abilities change everything so you cant make a build from now on unless you know the next runes , because new builds keep coming with whats available as runes you know
@@kazyoun you are going to spec deep fury or deep arms and the talents you choose on the way are fixed no matter what runes they bring.(unless you get a rune were you get 15%dmg increase for each point in a different tree) so if you know the game and the mecanics you can absolutly make talent builds allready. and I dont know if you have even seen the video or red the pinned comment, but I said/wrote, that we need more informations on runes and gear to make a final call. so its not useless since the two builds you saw on screen, are going to be the two main builds you can go for as 2hand dps, I can allmost guarantee that. if you will ask most expirienced war players, they will tell you the same thing, because its so obvious. in my mind anyways.. It seems like you dont like to fantasize about stuff untill you have all informations, wich is fine. but pls dont call my content useless, if you dont know what you are talking about
I actually never did. I played slam spec in vanilla, Arms in tbc and Arms in wotlk (have to say wotlk arms is the worst when it comes to single target performance) but I was allways able to hold my own against anyone in my raid group, anyways.
