Stan Hes in 5 hall of fames,,recorded over 750 songs and sold 1.5 billion records and Hes still going strong and Hes in the guiness book of records.Almost 46 yrs after His death.Who else would ever get that recognition.He had it all and no one comes close.He has more history than a history book and kept reinventing Himself.His voice could go High and low and did things with His voice that's amazing.There will never be anyone close to what He did and still going strong all these years..He could sing anything from rock,,gospel,,country,,and also sang 8 Christmas songs He could sing it all.And when He covered someone's song He did it different and better than the original Artist.Paul Simon was blown away with Elvis version of bridge over troubled water,,He loved Elvis version better.He did so much in a short career and payed for it in the end but He never lost that smile and voice as much pain as He was in at the end..And the day He died He was suppose to be Heading to Maine for a Concert and that's where half the band were in Maine setting up.I seen Him in 1974 My Parents took Me and My Brothers and I was in 4th grade and I remember it to this day and I've been a fan since.Love Your Channel Stan Great reaction👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍☘

Elvis Presley sang gospel. He loved gospel music it was the music his mother loved. He adored his mother. If I could have seen Elvis Presley live it wouldn’t have been him on stage in front of a crowd. If I could have seen him live it would have been at his all night gospel sings where it was just Elvis a piano and his closest friends singing gospel.

Mike Handley, narrator & TV/radio spokesman, in the 'The Jim Bohannon Show', airing on 600+ radio stations on the Westwood One Network, said: "When healthy and serious, he was flat-out the world's greatest singer. In his voice, he possessed the most beautiful musical instrument, and the genius to play that instrument perfectly; he could jump from octave to countless other octaves with such agility without voice crack, simultaneously sing a duet with his own overtones, rein in an always-lurking atomic explosion to so effortlessly fondle, and release, the most delicate chimes of pathos. "Yet, those who haven't been open (or had the chance) to explore some of Presley's most brilliant work - the almost esoteric ballads and semi-classical recordings - have cheated themselves out of one of the most beautiful gifts to fall out of the sky in a lifetime. "Fortunately, this magnificent musical instrument reached its perfection around 1960, the same time the recording industry finally achieved sound reproduction rivaling that of today. So, it's never too late to explore and cherish a well-preserved miracle, as a simple trip to the record store will truly produce unparalleled chills and thrills, for the rest of your life; and then you'll finally understand the best reason this guy never goes away." Yes, indeed.

I'm not going to argue that his voice wasn't amazing, because it was, but he was a mediocre at best guitar player, and never EVER wrote an original song or lyrics. plus the whole culture appropriated/pedophile/wife abuser stuff, but we can sweep that under the rug for a good voice, right??
@christielysdale1815
@christielysdale1815 6 месяцев назад
@@sunshynff cultural appropriation? Pedophile/ wife abuser stuff? You sure you got all your facts? How does one appropriate a culture that one grew up in? That’s all bullshit. Elvis didn’t steal anything from anyone. Do you know the man? Were you a close friend who spent time with him? If you were you should have spoke up against him when he was alive. If not, you should quit spreading lies and rumors about someone who has been dead for 46 years. How many children spoke out against him? How many children said he was having sex with them? Oh, that’s right, none. The only actual person who spoke in him in that vein was Priscilla and she said she and Elvis never had and until after they were married and by the way, she was 21 years old when that happened. So here you are smearing a man you don’t even know based on opinions YOU hold about the man. I certainly hope you don’t ever have deal with such shameless judgement.

THAT RAMP CREATED from the STAGE: Producer/director Marty Pasetta told Parker (Elvis' manager) that he wanted to build a ramp for Elvis to walk out onto & Parker said no. Pasetta explained that it would be 8 ft. wide & Elvis could stay in the middle or go to the left or to the right if he wanted to because Pasetta knew how important the audience was to Elvis, Parker still said no. Fortunately, Pasetta was able to meet w-Elvis & he explained exactly what he told Parker. Fortunately again, Elvis overrode Parker & told Pasetta to build the ramp. Pasetta told Elvis he wanted him to lose 25 lbs., which Elvis did. Elvis then hugged Pasetta & said you are one of the few people who has been totally honest w-me. Without that ramp the concert would have been very different if Elvis did not have the option to get in close touch w-the audience. You can see this clearly for the song "Welcome To My World." This concert was a benefit to raise money for the Kui Lee Cancer Fund & raised $75,000. Elvis bought his own ticket for $1,000. & did not make any money from it. The approximate amount of people in the audience was about 8,800. You should see yet another side of Elvis for the water throwing incident from 1972 in Hampton Roads, Virginia when at the very, very start of the video Elvis called out “Please Release Me” but the band began playing “I Can’t Stop Loving You” - he didn’t stop them, he went right into the song, he then walked over to his glass of water, picked it up & playfully threw it at Glen @ piano -- a fun, energetic, powerhouse, his voice a little deeper, a little richer at ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-LNtP5Gd8QGE.html -- make sure you hear him say Please Release Me & then the water incident will make sense, also not his slightly irritated look at the beginning. To truly appreciate what that voice was capable of, go to "Tomorrow Never Comes" at ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-QhYtB7pjkS0.html -- not live but w-beautiful photos & a glass shattering finish! Not highly recommended but should not be overlooked to appreciate what his voice was capable of. Trilogy is a medley of three uniquely American pieces: “Dixie,” (dixie are the states down south in the U.S.); “Battle Hymn of the Republic,” a marching hymn of the Union Army during the American Civil War; and “All My Trials,” a Bahamian (people of the Bahamas) lullaby related to African American spirituals sung by protesting folksingers of the 1950s.

Growing up, my mom was EVERYTHING ELVIS.. Guess because when she was 14 he came to be. As a teen I always fought with her, that Jim Morrison was the best singer ever! ( even though Jim died when i was 8) Now much older, I see what she has seen about this man. I remember the day he died. I was in 6th grade. My dad came home from work. smashed open the door.. and pretended he had a microphone in his hand.. and got down on his knee and sang,, Ae you lonesome tonight! as a joke.. i laughed.. My mom was so upset she ran in the other room. They made up later. But now being an adult, this man was amazing

It makes my day to see you catching "Elvis Fever". He recorded 700+ songs. You'll discover that, in addition to rock 'n' roll, he sang gospel, blues, pop, rockabilly, honky tonk, and country. He's in too many Halls of Fame to mention. It's always great to see his live performances, but please don't ignore the many songs that either weren't performed live or weren't filmed. Examples that I'd love to see you react to: "Kentucky Rain" -Elvis Presley (3:23) ELVIS PRESLEY - SURRENDER (1:57) ELVIS PRESLEY - RAGS TO RICHES (1:59) "I believe" - Elvis Presley (2:08) He recorded this one early on in his career in 1957 at the age of 22. I promise you won't regret jumping into the Elvis rabbit hole.

I've got this double album that my mother bought back in '73. I remember she watched it on TV live via Satellite from Hawaii. I tried to watch it with her but my dad hated Elvis and wouldn't let me. (He considered him "vulgar" ). But that didn't stop me from becoming a huge fan growing up anyway!! I also remember this footage was played as part of the State Fair Chevy Truck show every year until one year a woman got angry and complained about the reference to Dixie and demanded that the Fair stop including it. So, that was the end of that, all because of one (1) person's complaint. Nevermind that he also included Battle Hymm of the Republic which was written by an abolitionist. But I guess she didn't care, just having Dixie in there was too much for her to accept . Anyway, I personally just saw it as Elvis expressing his pride in being a native of the south. (nothing wrong with that!) It's one of, if not his 'greatest' live performance!

I discovered, over many years, what you are just realizing. His voice, and stylistic range was incredible. There are two shows he did while in Hawaii at that time. He did a rehearsal concert. It’s interesting to compare the performances, and see some of the subtle changes he made to his delivery. His hair is somewhat different between the two performances also.

So many reactors nowadays keep on interrupting h the videos and you lose the momentum of the songs this way. This concert is the one I wish I was there to see. Great reaction and comments.

I bought a plot about 18 years ago but for the last 14 years I've been thinking about cremation and have someone throw my ashes over the walls of Graceland. Rest in peace Lisa Marie. Good night Graceland. TX peace
