Don’t understand the fascination with a manual transmission. Most people haven’t a clue how to properly drive one. And it gets old real fast. Great for the 1968 camaro I had years ago and was 50 years younger 😂. Prices on C8’s and Z’s still stupidly high. $81,000 for a 10 year old car? I’ll keep waiting and watching.
@@smittybk09my father just purchased the gray 2015 zo6, which has been his dream car for years, has booked at a high end of 78,000… so paying 82000 is not crazy at all but none of you guys will know because you aren’t even in half the ball park at all. I just bought (May 22, 2023) a 2016 Z06, 3LZ convertible in Daytona Sunrise Orange Metallic with Kalahari interior. It has the carbon hood with body color vents. It's an automatic. It is not a Z07 but it looks like it has the stage three aero. I am loving it. I love this vid looking at all the available Corvettes. Thanks! Not to stir feathers, I love the C8 and all of its performance (both Stingray and Z06) but I just still like the looks of the C7 a little better.
People say the new automatic transmissions are faster etc. Having a manual isnt about it being faster,its about the joys of having a sports car where I shift the gears.and the fact a new corvette isnt offered with a manual transmission is a slap in the face to real car guys,not to mention the C8 isnt a real vette in my opinion.the 2014 to 2019 corvette was the last years real corvettes were produced.thanks for the video of beautiful automobiles
Just spoke to our good friends wife today. He traded his ZO6 2016 to Corvette World and bought a 2022 or 2023 C8. I ask her, do you miss the C7, she said absolutely. Driver can see everything on the console, I can't and I am so cramped. Glad I have my C7 and will probably turn down my ZO6 C8 order when my name comes up.
As an owner of a heavily modified c7 z06 z07 m7 car, I think it's an extremely special car. It's loud, rowdy, incredibly fast and a bit scary. The cam shakes the car, headers send vibrations through the seat. Screams wide open and the mods gave me a solid super charger whine. Too much to type but it's a special experience to drive. Extremely visceral. Wouldn't trade it for the world.
People have lost thier minds. Those are new msrp prices! I was looking at a used motor cycle this weekend the sales guy told me he would sell me the bike for its original msrp.. There might be plenty of suckers out there but I ain't one of them. Good luck with that!!
As to the manual Vettes, this has got to be a first! Nice! 👍👍 Awesome Sauce on the red C7 with the manual AND the Racing Seats. Those seats are a big plus in my book! 👍👍 I like the C7 with the Black Chrome wheels. Now, the coupe de grace for me in this video is the 2016 Convertible with the ZO7 option AND a seven speed! I’m extremely aware of what’s going on with the market. But, I got a Z51 3LT C7 with 5K miles for 42K at the beginning of ‘18. $42K. It just feels wrong. 🤷🏻♂️

I prefer my automatic. Had manuals my whole life. I don't miss it AT ALL! Don't have to worry about clutch. Can do whatever I'm doing in the car while driving. And, there's nothing like shifting with the paddles. The sound between shifts you don't get with a stick. Just my personal opinion, of course.
