I think they look great! I think they aren't too think or too thin. I always liked the somewhat thinner brow myself. I never liked Brooke Shields' "caterpillar brows"!!😁 They say your brows are sisters, NOT twins, so.....👍
I’m retired so I have time ‘to spare’, and my brows are fading away at the outer ends (as they do with age), but I don’t have the time/patience for this! I just use an angled brush, tapped onto my taupe-y powdered eyeshadow, to fill in my brows. Takes about 10 seconds total.
I didn't over pluck, because there wasnt much to pluck. Thank you for inspiring me to think of doing my brows as a little art project each day, this might unblah my brows!
I left 3/4s of my brows in the 90s, and what was left fell out after menopause! So... i got them tattooed back on. Before menopause sent my poor little skinny minnies running, i did exactly this. Worked perfectly.
I have the Opposite brow situation, just never liked plucking them, so once out of teenage, I just let them grow! Once in a while a hair dresser would attack them! Now at 79they are so light and silvery I don’t bother them! Loved watching your artistry!
Recently found your vids so so enjoying your unique & helpful content! Thanks for this useful step by step video. Love all your realness! Only wish doing my brows didn't take 15 minutes & a 101 in art. Lol!
Alas, I remember fussy beauty articles from the nineties proposing silly ways to prevent wrinkles…but none that warned that even moderate brow ‘shaping’ (plucking!) could lead to this! My gently tapered 90s brows now taper away into Nothingness! 🙄😅
Nobody warned us because nobody cared. We were on our own. My aunts had pencil thin brows in the 70s and didn’t warm me in the 90s. Thankfully my strong hair genetics and general not being great at plucking left my brows mostly intact. But I did warn my daughters to leave their brows alone and don’t follow every trend.
Your eyes are gorgeous!!! Great tutorial from another 77 gal 😊. Your brows turned out fantastic. My hand is never steady enough and I love your tip on just a few strokes and sit back to look. One tip I’ve learned from being unsteady and also heavy-handed is a spooly is your friend. You can gently brush your brows instead of using a q-tip.
So happy you did this tutorial. I am trying to decide whether to have micro blading or try what you’ve done. I feel confident enough to try this product and watch this video a few more times and bravely try this technique! Thank you! ❤️🌷
‘83 here and yes, the ‘90s took their toll on my brows! I have the NYX pencil in cool ash brown- every other pencil has been to warm for my hair and skin and made me look orange. Going to try the pen and see is ash brown is cool enough 😊
Best explanation ever. I've been struggling to get a natural brow since the 90s. And I was even contemplating finally getting tattooed or micro blade brows.
Thank you! I always had ...um...full eyebrows. Never overplucked them because it was too much work. But now, many years later, the outer halves have just disappeared. I am going to give that pen a try!
I actually do not mind my thin eyebrows. They look good on my face. Eyebrows truly are a frame. Do I wish they were fuller (as a 64 year old)? Yes, but I'll be okay. At least yours grew back, it seems. lol. I'm going to try the pen!
FOUND IT! Oh I'm so grateful that you filmed this! You are absolutely gorgeous, and I love that you are putting emphasis on natural solutions. We're the same age! I definitely am in that situation; I had Brooke Shields eyebrows but over-plucked into a round shape in the nineties and it didn't grow back. I'm saving this one and running to the store to get this amazing pen.
@@unblahyourself yes it's the next thing I will buy at the drugstore. Do you still use skin food with the deep hydration castor oil gives you? I have combination skin.
@@unblahyourself I'm so excited, I went shopping today and followed your advice! I found a Burt's bees tinted lip balm that looks absolutely gorgeous, bought two MAC lipsticks (one red, one more natural), a tinted sunscreen, castor oil, brown mascara, a dark plum eyeliner (I have green eyes), and two eyebrow pens, one of them NYX (lift and snatch). I still can't reproduce the natural look you get, probably because I draw the hairs too close, but I'll keep practicing. Drawing a line on top and bottom before filling them in, is a game changer for me. I wish I could learn to do the little flick you do with the eyeliner to lift the corners of your eyes. While I was at it, I found two gorgeous bras without pads. My husband is French and you're right, he never liked the pads. ;-) I'm learning to embrace my shapes and my age and it's priceless to have you during the journey!
I received mine today and really loved it. Nyx discontinued the eyebrow cake powder kit in taupe/ash that I loved so this is a great replacement. I'm just happy to have something to give my eyebrow's confidence lol
@@unblahyourself I tried it and the lightest of pressure works for me. The real test will be when I have to hurry and I have to apply it fast. But I have high hopes lol
Yep. 1977 here too. 90s overplucking. I use Anastasia brow products (both the pen and the pomade) but I'm running out and will give this a try because it is so affordable!
You gave a great demo for people who don't want or can't afford microblading. I use that pen to fill in the gaps where, after over two years, my microbladed brows have started to fade. Eventually I will get microblading again because it has saved me SO much time and aggravation that it was worth the cost.
I’m 34 and I thank my mother all the TIME for not letting me pluck my eyebrows out in middle school 😂 the high school girls all had the 90s brows and I wanted them so bad.
@@unblahyourself No, all mine do it, always have. And I do store with tip upwards... And I'll start off fine, gain confidence, and half way through there'll be a rush of ink! I must be doing something wrong, but don't know what. I even lube in a cool climate, so it's not a heat issue. Sam Chapman loves it and uses it with no problem as well. 🤔
Never liked that thin brow look back then, it always looked to me old fashion, reminiscing the 70s, that saved my brows...But it is so comforting that there is something to be done now about our mistakes from the past, make up is so perfect since about the last 7 years, I have never bought something that I didn't like, everything works!
Thank you Diana. This is extremely helpful and detailed. I spent about CAD $25 on eyebrow makeup last week and still didn't really get what I needed. By the way, they say that our eyebrows are sisters, not twins. Haha. Anyway, awesome tutorial. ❤
Thank you for the demonstration 😎 My eyebrows are still thick enough even after plucking them for different shapes. In my natural shape a few hairs are missing plus I got some white hairs. Microblading is not an option in my case but I am glad to try this pen🩵
