WOW!! Singer Reacts to Ado "ASHURA-CHAN" for THE FIRST TIME 

Since I sometimes see *wrong comments* like *ashura(asura) = demon,* so I am happy to see your comments of *correct understanding.* However, I think that Asura was imported into Buddhism in India. Because Japan is far away from India, it has been less affected by the dramatic changes and decline of Buddhism that followed, and has likely maintained its old state. *Asura* is originally a *god of war or battle* in ancient India. Since, simply speaking, Buddhism is to seek peace in our mind, Asura is not in the center of Buddhism. Despite this, Asura is somewhat popular in Japan, and many temples have statues of him with scary faces at the gates. Even though Buddhism seeks peace of mind, there is no way that humans can live in the perfect ideal world. Asura is probably in charge of the human parts that fall outside of that ideal world. In this song, Ashura-chan says, both "I escape as being a Buddha" and "I'd rather hold hands with a devil than dance with a worthless monk", conflicting things. Perhaps, not only in Japan, there would be some existence who has both Godish properties and humanity in each country and religion. By the way, *"-chan"* is an honorific(?) title given to cute things such as children, like my little pretty Asura.

@@AkihikoKoga より深い考察と訂正ありがとうございます😌ゾロアスター教を挙げたのはアフラ・マズダーとの連関性を考えての事でした😅 因みにAdoちゃんとはなんの関係もありませんが、昔「孔雀王・アシュラ伝説」という映画がありました。孔雀王は中学生の時にヤンジャンで見て、孔雀王＝ベルゼバブなど、とどのつまり全ての宗教は繋がっているのだと気付かされた漫画でした😄

@@Mark-Elf Thank you for your reply. While many people explain that simply "Asura = devil", I'm glad that there are people who write correct information. Though I do not know well about Buddhism and the ancient gods of India, I think the fact Asura is on the Buddha-side is important in interpreting the song. Concepts in Buddhism often appear in Ado's songs. I think the people who write her lyrics are still young. So I'm impressed how they are able to write such lyrics that have so rich meaning in human life. They may reach to the amount of the knowledge in the religion and philosophy, while they are thinking about the meaning of life well. わざわざ，お返事いただきありがとうございます． 阿修羅=悪魔という説明をする人が多い中，悪魔ではないと書き込んでいただける人がいるのは嬉しいことです．私も，仏教やインドの古い神々はよく判りませんが，一応，阿修羅が仏サイドにいるということは歌を解釈する上で重要なのかなと思います． でも，Ado の歌には仏教的な概念がよく出てきますね．作詞している人たちも皆若いと思うのに，なんでこんなに含蓄に富んだ作詞ができるのかと感心しています．作詞家は人生のいろいろなことを考えるので，自然とそれぞれの人の土台になっている何らかの宗教や哲学のことに行きつくことが多いのかなと思い始めています．
