Steve Perry earned the nickname "The Voice" for a reason. The whole band is awesome. They sound even better live than they do on recordings.

Neal Schon, the guitarist, actually left a new band called Santana to join this band. Steve Perry is my favorite pop-rock singer like Luther takes #1 in R&B for me. Journey has two albums that went gold, seven that went platinum and one (Escape) that went triple platinum. Don't Stop Believin' is, to this day, the most downloaded song ever. Just do a search on RU-vid for their greatest hits and that wiii get you started on the right track, but many other of their songs were hits, too. That's why their albums sold millions. Steve Perry left the band after 10 years in 1987 because ge was burnt out, plus he was diagnosed with a degenerative bone disease and had to have surgery. He got back with them for three years several years later but keft again.

Check out their song "Mother, Father" live from this same concert. Also anything from this concert is fire. Steve was with Journey from 1977 thru the early 90's, the last video that they did together was "When you love a Woman". Journey still tours today, although us "hard core" Journey fans believe it just isn't the same without Steve.

Check out “Girl Can’t Help it” from 1983 Raised on Radio album featuring one of the original American Idol judges Randy Jackson playing lead bass for the band.. he was with Journey for a couple of years.. Steve Perry is the VOICE !! Also, the very last recording with the band and Steve Perry … When a Man Loves a Woman is absolutely the very best “wedding” song ever created…. Please give both of these songs a listen !!

Can’t say enough about Journey. In their beginning they were the rock and roll part of Santana who went their own way. In 1977 Steve Perry joined them and then they soared! “Don’t Stop Believin”, “Who’s Crying Now”, “Mother, Father”, “Any Way You Want It”, “Faithfully”, “Feeing That Way”, “Stone In Love”, “Separate Ways”, “Lovin, Touching, Squeezin”, “Open Arms”…….. and the list goes on!

My brother was at this concert and I wasn't very happy with him!!!!! However, I did, and I am very grateful to have seen Journey for their 1983 Frontiers tour in Houston, Tx. Journey played 3 sold out shows 2 of which my best friend and I were at. I also saw Journey for their 1986 Raised On Radio, tour also in Houston, Tx. And Steve Perry's (lead signer) for his very first solo tour in 1994 in Ft Worth, Tx. Hmmmmm.......Songs that you should react to that are live would be ........ 'Girl Can't Help It, I'll Be Alright Without You, Mother Father (

They had many hit singles and one album, Greatest Hits, has gone 15 times platinum. In 2020, it hit 600 weeks on the Billboard 200.All-in-all, they've sold over 100 million albums. And of course, Don't Stop Believing is their best known song.

I’m so glad you found Journey. My all time favorite band!!! And my all time favorite rock vocalist, Steve Perry. He was known as The Voice. This song is one of my favorites, with Neal Schon’s guitar solo!!!!! Just amazing!!!

OMG this just made my night. I went to see Journey for my 16th Birthday in 1983... the Escape Tour.. my first ever concert outside the State Fair.. My Mom was so scared to let me go to Philly she made my sister's completely straitlaced ex-boyfriend take me.. Good Catholic boy who was 22.. He hated it.. I loved it... I just celebrated by 57th Bday 4 days ago... brings back awesome memories of Journey.. Love love love .. Thank you .. But dang.. I feel old lol

1983 was the Frontiers tour. My best friend and I saw Journey for their Frontier tour in Houston, Tx when they played 3 sold out shows, we were at the last 2 shows. Were you at the recording of the 'Journey Frontiers And Beyond' documentary? Because part of it was recorded in Philly!
