Our first stop in Jodhpur was, of course, the Mehrangargh Fort. It completely blew us away by how well preserved it is, and how opulent the rooms in the palace are.
Rajasthan was a fascinating state; very underrated. Great food, great sights, great cultural events, great people, and great accomodations. It will continue to grow a a tourist spot.
@@SailingLessons Yes, it is. While I was working and living in Mumbai for 3 years, away from KL, the city where I am from, it's the capital of my homeland Malaysia, I've visited Jaipur and Udaipur, twice each. One of them was a long roadtrip from Mumbai to Udaipur and Jaipur covering more than 3,000km journey, and then back to Mumbai. Along the journey, I've passed lots of incredible places in Rajasthan. It was an amazing experience. 😁
@@SailingLessons Yes, it was, especially during holidays. I've been to many beautiful places in the state of Maharashtra (Mumbai is the capital), from Mumbai, did a roadtrip to Allepey and Kovalam in Kerala, from Mumbai, did a roadtrip to Goa, been to Chennai, Bengaluru, Agra, Delhi and Chandigarh. But above all that, my best holiday was at Oberoi Wildflower Hall in Mashorba, near Shimla, the capital of Himachal Pradesh (the foothills of the Himalayan range) during snowy winter, along with a visit to Manali and Solang Valley. We wanted and tried to continue to Ladakh in Jammu and Kashmir, but weren't allowed by the local army, the road was blocked by a heavy snowfall around 20ft. We were supposed to visit Switzerland, however, plan changed to Himachal Pradesh. My official duties experience was also quite interesting , but I don't want to bore you with that. 😁
@@Yasin_Affandi That sounds fascinating. Few countries in the world offer tropical climates and snowy mountains. Joining the military is something I wished I did when I finished school.
