Just a look at some sweet 3D printed WPL parts. I found all these on thingiverse and I provided the thing numbers in the video. Hope you enjoy! Be safe, have fun and go run that rc!
Looks great!! I don’t get to see many rock crawlers where I’m from since, well, there are no rocks. Lol. Louisiana only has swamps and mud bogs. Thanks for giving me the inspiration and ideas for a new WPL
Nice video, really looking forward to printing out some parts as well... I’m wanting to do a whole body but it takes for ever... thanks for time and great videos... I’ll be doing the same parts, thanks for the item numbers as well, makes it easy for us.
3D printing seems like lots of fun. Always wanted one but not sure if I got the computer knowledge required to operate one C14 looks super awesome with the new pars and I think those deep dish wheels will look really good on it too. Looking forward to upcoming WPL videos
Trust me I was intimidated as well with 3d printing. It's really pretty easy and I think you should get into it. It's really more simple than you think if your just planning to use it for printing existing files. Now designing your own parts it where it gets challenging but I still haven't learned that and am enjoying just printing already available files.
Very nice. 3d printing is a lot harder than people think, especially for accessories. I have tried 3d printing a light bar of my own design for the FTX Outlaw but it did not work. You can go through many trial and errors before you get the real thing. But nice video, love the accessories and I would keep the black wheels. Also cannot wait to see what you do for the c44. Maybe a full tool box or even a half canopy. Never know, the limit with 3d printing is your imagination. Love your videos and keep em rolling
3d printing has been fun so far. I still haven't looked into making my own parts but need too. The C34 and C44 need some love and there is nothing really out there on thingiverse for them. Maybe I need to find and explore other websites to get prints from.
I’ve got most of mine completed! Your videos have helped me so much. I just need a few more parts. The C series chassis needs some shocks. Also, are there any other bodies that fit the WPL 1/16 scale? Do you have any recommendations? Thanks for your how much you’ve helped me. My son loves these RC models!
glad it helps some people. they are fun little rigs for sure. I have not had a chance to try and fit a different body other than the mn model d90 defender one but if you check out some stores for small models than are similar in size you can mod one on the chassis for sure. I seen power wagon ram truck bodies and fj cruiser bodies on some of the Facebook groups members have modded. Also 3d printed bodies like the tacoma body. mods and accessories are only limited to your imagination and fabrication skills. Have fun with your rigs!
Your truck look really awesome, the 3d printed parts give another great look compared to stock, I will buy my c14 soon so will start to print these parts, by the way what did you use to paint the body?
@@RunThatRC wow so cool, I have a airbrush so will try to paint mine with it, last night started to print the parts and did some mods to the rear bumper for add a trailer
Do u print with Pla or?? I just got first roll of PeTG. Have had several pla things printed but really brittle and break easy. PLA has held up good for rims.
@@RunThatRC I just printed the honcho bed with the mid rail in pla. I went added the traction board mount(petg) and traction board(pla) today. This is first time printing with petg it definitely feels harder. The traction board holder is kind of thin where goes over bars might end up gluing it. When I left for work I had gas cans and a cooler printing. Going to Add them to the opposite side of the traction board. Also got to get fire extinguisher shovels and Jack printed. Definitely fun hobby to add to a great hobby already
Surprisingly after all the things I printed with my first 1kg roll I still have about 200g left. 1kg rolls can make a lot more stuff than it looks like. I need more filament colors so I can experiment on making wheels with 2 different colors. I want to print the wheel one color and the beadlock anothet color plastic. So it looks better longer because its not painted and wont scrap off.
You should also consider using petg as it is a bit more durable than pla and has a higher melting point but just as easy to print. Petg is also easier to sand than pla. I'm tje opposite of you as I've been 3d printing for years now but I just got myself into rc cars just recently.
@@RunThatRC Avoid abs as it's hard to print on an ender plus it's highly toxic while printing indoors. Petg is a lot more suitable as it's as easy to print as pla and just as strong as abs without the high toxicity. To print abs successfully you'll need a glass bed and an enlcosed printer with an exhaust running out the window. Also when slicing a model for rc's don't forget to put infill percentage up to 100 so the print will be 100 percent solid without any cavities inside to strengthen the print.
@@dredgewalker I'm probably gonna try abs still when I need to replace my bed with a glass one. It's so cheap for some reason and I will just inclose it and have it in my garage. For now I will print with pla and will be purchasing petg next.
@@RunThatRC The ender 3 is also capable of printing rubber like filaments like TPU so you can also experiment with creating your own tires and maybe even rubber protectors for your rc. If you plan on printing abs then get a Capricorn ptfe tube as it will last you a long time compared to the regular white ptfe tube as Capricorn is able to withstand higher temps without degrading and is also a cheap upgrade. When you print with abs you usually go to melt it closer to the temps what the stock ptfe tube can withstand so it starts to deteriorate inside the nozzle which will make the nozzles clog a lot.
I have had an item not show up but the tracking reflects that I never received it so they refunded me. I will not post a link to a site I have not used and trust so hope that helps.
I have no clue what to charge. I have never sold anything like these. I do plan on making some prints and doing a giveaway. I will have to get back to you about that.
I'm not sure if im going to be making any for people to buy but may do a giveaway with some 3d printed stuff. I get a lot of request so maybe in the near future but for now I won't be able to make enough stuff and still need to check the legality of selling some of these prints .
