That's the case with a lot of the late 1st round picks. No team has 32 first round grades, so high second-rounders start creeping in. Pearsall was a consensu mid-to-late second rounder, but his blocking and physicality probably put him in the early second for the 49ers who decided to lock him in at 31.

@mrredd8439 Shouldn't we wait until the end of the draft though to make that call. I mean, Warner was a 3rd rounder, Kittle 5th, Greenlaw 5th, Hufanga 5th, Jennings 7th, and the list goes on. So much left to go still to say what this franchise that was just in the SUPER BOWL by the way, is or isn't doing. I know patience is a dirty word these days, but that's what's required here

I admit when I first heard the pick I said 'WHO??'. I Was mad because I see alt in cooper dejean abd wanted him bad, but the more I got to know the I'd the better I felt. My only gripe is we could've done what the bills did and trade back a few picks for more draft capital ad still gotten him. Otherwise. Great pick!

Half of us knew this was the direction the Niners were going. Pick up a good replacement and say goodbye to BA. Loved you while you were here, but the difference in money will go into MVPURDY’s pocket next year. This kid is fast has good hands runs good routes and looks to be smarter than your average bear. Besides, the Niners have four other proven receivers, not counting the back ups. Now get the a good RT.
