Is there a reason they want you to grind the body mounts down 3/8" instead of providing washers to space the rest of the body up 3/8". Wouldn't that be a lot easier?

We bought a JCR bumper. It was poorly designed, poorly engineered, and they didn’t stand behind the warranty. The welds would break without even using the bumper for recovery. Would not recommend the company.

Picked up a set by Paramount off Amazon. Came Black, nice step.$171. Installs the same. You also get too keep oem flares.

ahhhh! they make you mod the body mounts? Not digging that idea at all. The rock sliders I've put on just had a few extra holes for going into the tub from underneathe. Since installing them, I had to remove them a few times to do other mods (i.e front fenders, etc).

Ignatius D I dont think you would have to, but if not then you would add a small amount of lift to your ride.

That's something for another vid I supose, a TT. Rather gain clearance there. But as always, enjoy the vids.

Ya, there is another set of body mounts just above the rear axel that you forgot to loosen (or failed you failed to mention that they will also require loosening). Just an FYI to anyone else watching this. Also, the genright guards are almost the identical design but do not require moding the body mounts. As a consequence it does leave the C-channel (or whatever it is called) exposed), though.

Right where you installed that slider I have some rust in the body of my TJ, I know there are hundreds of rust repair videos on RU-vid but I really enjoy your stuff, would it be possible for you to do a video on that? Btw, after I patched the hole I thought about bed lining the bottom three inches of the door frame panel, thoughts?

I'd be curious how to install the new sliders jcr offers. The ones you installed are not listed on the website anymore.

seems like for the money you would spend on these they could make the fitment a little better and be able to run flares not a fan

Those look bad ass. Your videos are awesome I watch them all even thought I have a Dakota right now I plan on getting a jeep wrangler at some point, but right now I am working on a vw Sand rail. Do you know if they make these for a dodge Dakota, or is this something that I need to make?

Crane 2005 Jcr only makes Jeep stuff... I imagine there arent a lot of aftermarket parts for a Dodge Dakota.

There's actually 5.5 body mounts per side, not 4. You forgot about one right over the rear axle that's hidden from view and of course there's one dead center on the front. No point in loosening the body mount above the rear bumper of you don't loosen the one over the rear axle. Might not be necessary. Anyways, big fan, thanks for the video!

Any particular reason you chose body over frame mounted rockers?
@bamafutbal
@bamafutbal 8 лет назад
do you have to ground those pads down 3/8". what would happen if you didn't
@bleepinjeep

You'd get 3/8" lift only on that side
