Very young age to pass away from liver disease. Possibly he got into something poisonous, poor sweetheart. Also kind of disappointed to hear he didn't stay as someones therapy dog. He trained hard for that. RIP sweet boy.......run free.......
She must have been so lovely! I thank God for all my good memories of my two, that transitioned. What a beautiful gift of Love, you were given. So sorry for your loss...Peace.
I remember when Wrangler first arrived on the today show, i followed his daily path until his last show. Saying goodbye I thought he must be sad too. He was so young. RIP Wrangler we will meet you at the rainbow bridge. Great job!!
This is the problem with all these inbred Labs. All that time and work that went into him, and he should have had a longer working life. Train an Australian Cattle Dog, with an average lifespan of 15 years. 🐶❤️
Omg I remember his first episode was such a good dog. RIP wrangler thank you so much for your services and hard work. May you run free in the clouds and watch over all of us 🙏⚰🐕❤😔
This news breaks my heart and I couldn’t stop the tears. I love my own dog so much, and five years seems so short for all Wrangler gave back in his short life. I love you, Wrangler. #GoneTooSoon
His brother, Willis, is retired now. He has assumed the role of pet well. Still hungry. Max is the new dog guide in the house. The two dogs love each other a lot.
Sudden deadly liver disease and death in a young dog? Either they did extensive training having him sniff high toxic chemicals or he was (inadvertently) fed contaminated dog food. Digs don't suddenly and mysteriously die of liver failure at that age. And the liver can take a lot of abuse. I hope they are investigating the real cause. RIP Wrangler You certainly earned your wings. 😞
Liver disease at age 6? What were they feeding him, what did he accidentally eat, or what was his food contaminated with?..... Or was it the 6000 treats? Sounds like neglect.
Yes he was young but people get diagnosed with cancer and diseases all the time no matter the age. Let’s not blame it on the owners/trainers for his death. They’re going through a lot right now. It could be in his genetics or he could’ve been poisoned from something he ate or some stupid person gave him. Rip Wranger
So sorry. I remember his debut on the show. You were so loved, Wrangler and will be missed so much. You helped so many people. Rest sweet puppy,I love you
Omg,I’m so sad ,I hope he didn’t suffer,my son has had several rescue dogs ,his last one died three years ago from congestive heart failure ,he was heartbroken ,this sweet dog will be missed
I am willing to make a bet that his final job as a sniffer has placed him in harms way. The liver and probably kidney has been stressed by exposure to toxic materials.
