Show him so love. He inspired me, Knotorious, and that is worth its weight in gold.
This Wraptor actually does have one benefit over the Clove hitch that didn't occur to me when making this video. It apparently slips at around 8-9kN, versus a Clove, which slips around 5kN. This means that the Static Klemheist/Machard also is likely as strong as the Wraptor, but I'm not certain. However, if you were to tie a DOUBLE Clove Hitch, it may be just as strong!

Yes, this certainly could be used for a Trucker's hitch to provide some mechanical advantage when latching down materials! Glad you love it! The Static Klemheist is an original knot! Can't take credit for the Wraptor, but I did come up with the name!

Ok that was very enjoyable and fun to watch. But the only way I see myself using this wrap-tor hitch is when i would need to pull from one end. As in a figure 8 facing one direction to create a 3 or 5 to 1 rig of sorts.... but I would rather use this one now, over the figure 8. Simply because it unravels so easily when you're done. Yep i like it

Right, but i think tied into a sequence, it would be a sturdier option. Especially if used in conjunction with one of your hitches.

I'm not sure what you mean by a "sequence." Can you explain a bit more, please? How would you use it with one of my hitches?

Sequence, meaning a 3:, 3:5.... set up. So i would use this one for pull, and one of your hitches for capture. I pas the ideas on to an ex co brother of mine. He is still in the game. Right away loved it. He said it was much better than a rope 8. A bit time consuming, but very good. That is all I can say. But he sends his thanks and regards.
