This looks great, but I won't be picking it up at Gen Con because of the tin. I just know it would get destroyed in my luggage. Gamewright is usually pretty widely available though, so I'll get it at some point.
I know it shouldn't matter and that your opinions are what we're here for. But for some reason, the mics on stands instead of the previously discreet mics bother me. It gives it an air of "we're doing a podcast" that I don't like, whereas previously it felt like "hey we're friends that gathered to talk about a game and hey you're here too. Again, I know it doesn't make sense and that it SHOULD NOT MATTER, but it kind of does for me. If it's not too expensive and/or annoying, please consider going back to the discreet mics.
I totally agree with you. I'm sure it's to improve sound quality. But if it's not to improve anything I would ditch them because it is a little distracting and does feel more like a show rather than a conversation. It's like the presentations they do on the cruise where a mic is needed.
The amount of comments about sound issues they used to get, they buy a proper mic set up so that the audio is crisp and well mixed, I don't like that I can see the mics. Proof that you simply can't please everyone, so just do what you want and if it's good people will watch
I thought so too but when they first rolled them out all the yes men were drowning out the comments saying how much better this new set up is. It’s not.

Fascinating looking game. Tin is a negative, board is ugly, moving the pieces seems fiddly, and the egg thing seems like a small issue. Fills a good niche, tile movement seems like just the right amount for tactics without being over done, good length and weight for what it does.
“The tins show up well of the store shelves, and it’ll be every where”…. Then they talk a bit about Target audience?? What about the Kohl’s audiences?? 😜
What are you talking about??? Their sound quality is great. It must be some bad speakers on your end. For example, if I eatch same youtube vids on my laptop, the sound is bad and even terrible. If I watch on my samsung phone same vids sound perfect. It's just very bad speaker quality in my laptop.
