I think the old friends will definitely be Will, Nico and the hunters of Artemis. Will Nico and Mrs OLeary will help search for the dog while I think the hunters will help search for the other animal, both of which occur at different timelines through the week. Maybe someone from the hephestus cabin or hecate cabin will come over to help fix the house. As a plot twist either Hecate comes back early or something goes wrong at the last second and she comes back to see her pets missing. The situation quickly escalates, but they somehow manage to clutch the situation in the end
I am thinking that for new friends we might (fingers crossed I am right) see Alabaster again, because I do not know how you guys feel about him, but as a certified daughter of Hecate myself I am rather concerned for my step-brother's fate. As for old friend I am thinking either Solangelo, or perhaps Solangelo + Lou Ellen, since she is a daughter of Hecate and her mother's pets probably refrain from hurting her since ~Genetics~. Also there has been confirmed we will see Miss O'Leary, so that makes the Solangelo theory all the more possible. P.S. I am thinking of Alabaster as one of the "new friends" since he and the main three haven't met yet, so this seems like the perfect chance for them to do so
Why wouldn't it make sense? This is a Halloween book. Nico is a son of Hades. For sure he'll turn up - and since this is set before ToA, I really want awkward pre-dating Solangelo. That'd be perfect!
yayy ive been waiting for your opinions on this book news, the plot sounds like such a bundle of chaos, im so excited to see the fluff of percy, annabeth and grover domesticity living with each other in hecates mansion, a mental picture pops up in my mind of grover in an apron getting percy and annabeth ready for school lolol. also the old or new characters (which im theorising might be hazel because of her connection to hecate in HOH, alabaster and maybe some of her kids like blanches role in cotg) and most important of all; whether we get halloween costumes bc this book takes place over halloween week! ALSO IMPORTANTLY: I hope we get architect annabeth when theyll have to reconstruct the mansion!!! P:S: I hope the weird flared jeans get referenced in the book, I need to know what was going through Percy's head before putting it on (Even though its probably nothing significant) PPS: I hope the book will be just as happy and fluffy as cotg, because i feel like theres writing potential for percy getting mad at grover, which im sure he might understand, but still also video idea if youre okay with it: riordanverse characters as taylor swift songs!
I personnaly think that it would be AMAZING to see Thalia and the hunters ! And about how to read the riordanverse, my only problem is to find ALL the side books. Only Percy and the Greek gods/heroes are translated in my country, and i found Demigods and Magicians in a library, but i had to go to London to buy COTG and Demigod files 😭
Chalice of God is better than my expectations, although the recommendation letter thing is stupid. I enjoy most of it. I especially love the part Percy treat old. I hope the series can get even better.
if Mrs. O’Leary shows up, I bet Percy will ask her to sniff out the missing pets! That would also be a good way to incorporate the hunters of Artemis! They are master trackers and could help track down the animals for Percy, even if they don’t get involved in the actual rounding up part. I think it’s unlikely that we will see Reina because she does not join the hunters until the trials of Apollo series which takes place six months later. But Thalia definitely could show up! And that would make sense because she’s from the original series. I’m pretty sure Rick Rorden is avoiding incorporating. Heros of Olympus characters too much because he wants this to be a series that can be read by readers who haven’t read those yet.
Frazel would not be in the area, how could they possibly help the trio? I’m guessing it’s going to be someone from camp half-blood and not camp jupiter. And this is supposed to take place BEFORE ToA, right? Then Reyna’s still praetor, not a hunter yet (The books are even more amazing knowing that Jason’s still alive at the time)
I have absolutely no clue, but they have made graphic novel versions of all of the other main series (at least PJO, HOO and KC) so I guess it'll eventually become a graphic novel
