I never really leave comments but I have got to say…. This was awesome. I’m working on a fanfilm right now and I know how much work it is and you killed it. This was by far the best fan interpretation of wolverine. It was awesome to see a very griddy violent fan film. Especially using Wolverine

The Church of Humanity is a lesser known villain in the X-Men comics, yes. This film is loosely based off the events in the Uncanny X-Men issue 423. The X-Men and the mutants as a whole have in concept, always been a metaphor for targeted minority groups from our everyday life. Innocent people who are hated for the way they are born. We wanted to use a villain that reflected actual oppressive groups and regimes from the real world.

No, unfortunately I will not be making a PG-13 cut of this film. This is for numerous reasons. 1. Because cutting around all the “R-rated stuff” is impossible without harming the flow of the film. 2. We don’t have alternate takes without F-bombs, and we can’t bleep them or cut them out without taking the audience out of the scene. 3. The R rating and darkness is important to the film. This film touches on some heavy and real subject matter, and we wanted to show the true ugly reality of it. The cycle of violence isn’t pretty.

As someone who works with No Budget Productions on various Trek fan films and other things i say congrats to you, what matters most is the story and if someone can connect to it. Props and costumes are secondary, i agree that the guy playing Wolverine could have used a lil more polish to look more the part but i think the characterization was good. Hope to see more from y'all

I liked it alot. I mean it's low budget yeah. I would say wolverines outfit needs some muscle enhancements as well as you could have the actor who plays him where fake muscles as well on his arms or even facial prosthetics to make him look more like wolverine. The head of the culture guy having the voice dubed as a different man was actually genius and felt very interesting and unique it brought a great vibe and screamed vibes from the cartoon.i loved it. The cutting into the faces could be better meaning when wolverine is cutting them but it was really good.

I just have one negative critique. I wasn’t a fan of the cinematography and the color grading in the film. And it seemed like some shots didn’t match up. I understand limitations due to some scenes being shot months apart but it kinda took me out of it a lil bit. Being shot on a black magic, there’s a ton you could do with it in post, so something to research and improve for the future. I appreciate the unique story and allowing Wolverine to go full beast mode.

This was good! 👍 It felt shorter than I expect it to, but was still well paced! SPOILERS! Just wondering though, did Logan get arrested at the end, or did the fan film end before he killed the police officers?

it's kind of left open-ended. but the point is, even after the church of humanity slaughtered children, the police still look at the mutants as monsters. And in return, the world and the media ignore what the church did to the mutant children, and only focus on wolverine's actions of vengeance. It makes the mutants incapable of getting their own fair justice.
