On the tracks that had the boost pads, Tor aka The Very End had to remove them after the update last August 2019 due to the release of the game on console. It wasn't the release but the update that nullified the effect of the boost pads, which was another victim for the PC player base of console release, not to mention the oodles of mods that were broken and abandoned.
