Great questions ... in general side schemes don't leave until reduced to 0 threat, but for the Wrecking Crew, it is stated in the mini-rulebook that once that villain is defeated, their side schemes are also removed from the game. And while discarding, that ruling is clarified on page 6 of the rulebook for "Empty Encounter Deck", so no cards are discarded from the newly shuffled deck. Nevermind, if I read this correctly it goes back to the owners discard pile, which could be chaotic in a 4p game, I can't even remember what I did last turn, solo... How the heck would I remember that was my card. Lolol. From the rules ref: • If a card that has changed control leaves play, after the resolution of the game occurrence that makes it leave play, the card is physically placed in its owner’s equivalent out-of-play area (hand, deck, or discard pile). Other card abilities cannot interact with this secondary physical placement.

They definitely could be swapped in, but she was already aggressive enough for me. :)
