On November 22, 1986 edition of superstars, reigning Intercontinental Champion Randy Macho Man Savage took things too far in his title defense against Ricky 'The Dragon" Steamboat. The Dragon lost the match by count out, and Savage viciously assaulted Steamboat, fracturing Steamboat's larynx with the ring bell.
Macho Man and the Dragon would settle their differences in the ring at Wrestlemania 3.
