Wrestling Standout Yianni Diakomihalis Says Bo Nickal 'Hasn't Really Been Tested' 

I’ve been a wrestler since the 70’s and he is special. His freshman year he was in the toughest weight loaded with national title wrestlers and he had the toughest road and still won his first of four nattys. Top of the heap I would say with a lot of history still to write.

A stand-up dude. Would love to see more elite level wrestlers transition to MMA.

He's so right it is like being a artist the passion you have to have with intelligence and athleticism flexibility but his mindset definitely sets him apart .. the old work smarter not harder and calling himself and artist it makes sense... great interview humble kid..I wish him the best go get that gold medal kid ....

yianni a 4x ncaa champ. Only a few have ever done. Not sure how his style would do in mma. He has super long arms but he kinda has a funky wrestling style

And Yianni is another one of those guys who I see as an artist who is a great person for kids to look up to. It makes me happy to see that Yianni feels that way about Khabib, even though I’m sure he would’ve felt that way had he not said it

Yianni's 100% right. I like Bo too, but I need to see him winning a dogfight or two to see if he's got what it takes before everyone labels him the next champ...or if he's just hype.

Yianni is a scrambler who is Askren. 3.0 because 149er. Child superstar in NY, but not best style for fighting because not an explosive takedown guy...He could compete if he loved fighting and dedicated life to it because be MAIA 2.0 with his grappling. He would be in trouble against the Chandler types, but could give dagestan guys trouble.
