Great place to boat- of the five years I lived there I never once got to go out on one. But it's on my bucket list for down the road!! Thank you sir..😎😏
Hey Jordan...I can't tell you how much I appreciate this video. Used to live there and miss it tremendously, my brother is in Newport, so I'll be making some of these trips soon. Thanks again, DB
Great and informative video! We're looking to make the trip to Beaufort from Ocean Isle Beach on our World Cat 325DC for a long weekend. We've done the trip south from Atlantic Beach, which was easy - although the waters around Beaufort and Shackleford Banks (where we want to visit) make me a little nervous. This navigation information was very helpful.
At the 9:49 mark he says "do not cut off this corner". He is 100% correct. I lost my lower unit here a few years back. Even though it is >20ft deep there is an underwater wall here. At extreme low tide your motor can hit it. The USCG warning sign is not far enough out so stay within the buoys.
With one truck and one trailer it would be an up the river and back down the river trip for me. Is there anywhere in Wrightsville that allows you to launch (even with fee) and park your truck and trailer SAFELY?
@@jordantdavis10 Thanks Jordon. I found your site and asked if you ever met with people to answer questions and give advice. I can be reached at rdr5k@yahoo.com if you wish.
Laws vary from state to state, but in NC, any person born on or after January 1, 1988 must complete a NASBLA approved boating education course before operating any vessel propelled by a motor of 10 HP or greater. A boater passing through or visiting need only comply with his or her home state's law, assuming they will be in NC less than 90 days. Here's a link to register for some boating safety courses: register-ed.com/programs/53
