Guys pay attention to the techniques and approach Andrew has when he is not thinking too hard. Lots of chromatic three note movement and the recurring shapes. Every riff has building blocks like this. Find your building blocks and mix and match! Many riffs are just like 8 tiny riffs strung together in different orders.

The only thing more impressive that they wrote 100 riffs in a day, is that they came up with 100 names for those riffs in the same day. 😂

This new Royal Blood album is sounding epic

Definitely many riffs sounding like Muse and Royal Blood had a baby. Loving it!

I'm 15 riffs in, and Andrew's guitar tone + Rob's drumming is already like everything I love about QOTSA, Death From Above 1979, Sex Bob-Omb, and garage rock in general I need more of in my life.

it's fascinating to watch this because they start out with some decent riffs, then it starts to get a bit not as good in the middle, but by the end they're coming up with their coolest stuff.

For everyone who felt sad because they are not this talented: Heads Up! Think of it as more like a "looking forward to the day when I'm also this good at music." Gotta happen eventually.

So inspiring how much changing a guitar tone or time signature can inspire you. 14, 15, 31 and 87 are all straight bangers! This looked like so much fun to do! this reminds me of the energy i had with one of my old bands, all we did was snort adderall and try to make music for 8 hours straight. we would make like 25 "songs" in a day but inevitably never actually did anything at all lol

My favorite genre of YT videos is now besties hanging out with each other, doing what they love. All the joy in this video comes from the two of you interacting, and it's glorious. Rgarding the bass tones, I definitely picked up on it during the first few riffs (hooray for subwoofers!), so I'm glad you thought to mention it as as an editorial. I CANNOT WAIT for the 1st of October videos to come out!!!!!

You two are an incredible duo. Even though Andrew has a guitar it’s evoking all the big bass and drum duos (lightning bolt, royal blood, dfa 1979) and i love it

I love how much fun are they having. It's always such a delight to see musicians enjoying and "playing" (as in game) with music. Also, the progressive creativity that goes "what other possible sounds can we squeeze out of these limited instruments". Super exciting to see Rob and Andrew doing stuff together. Makes me nostalgic for the older-school RU-vid and I'm very glad Andrew is still very actively creating music on the internet
