Writing a Synthwave song in 15 minutes (uncut) 

It's always so useful to see someone else's workflow! I picked up a couple of good tips from this. Plus it's a great reminder to not agonize over every choice, at least not at the start of the writing process.

The song is very rough but, I liked watching your creative process might give me some ideas in the future.

I find that when I produce music, I always end up scrapping the first thing I make because it doesn't sound "good" enough. How do I get over this? I always just end up making a new song lol

OK, that was damned impressive...I'm not sure how I as a guitar player could accomplish as much in 15 minutes, but I may try something similar to try and get some creative juice working... Is this intended as a creative exercise or more as a workflow/efficiency exercise? Or both?

Amazing vid i would never be able to do it in 15 minutes, i was wondering how did you write the 8th note hi hat pattern? Like with that pencil tool and everything, i can't figure it out

I hate to be that guy because I genuinly love your videos, but I wouldn't call it a song yet, but instead I would call it a sketch, because by looking at the title (that says "song" at the moment) I expected a full song arrangement, so I clicked on the video because I wanted to learn some arranging technique that might be faster and more efficient than what I use nowadays. I would consider changing the title from "song" to "sketch" or something like that. Keep up the great work!

How have you made the midi notes appear as triangles as opposed to rectangular shape? And what's the benefit of doing this?
