Greetings! I must compliment you, a beautiful hand. I am a professional calligrapher and have been so for going on 30 years, it always does my heart good to see that this wonderful art form is still being practiced! Please keep on, lovely
Thank goodness I can't write like that or I would either be broke from buying paper or from buying ink. You have an amazing talent. Awesome, for sure. Art at its finest!
Espectacular. Que bueno para Usted que ha logrado ese nivel de perfección. Lo hace ver como algo supremamente fácil, pero para quienes disfrutamos de este arte como hobbies, sabemos lo difícil que es alcanzar este nivel. Felicitaciones. Usted me inspira.
ldalfkjahsl Actually, that is a simplified version of letter "t" in Spencerian Handwriting. When a word ends with a letter "t", instead of the usually line with swirl at the top, you can just omit the swirl at the top.
What sorcery is this? Shaded writing with straight holder without twisting the wrist at weird angles?! The nib is perpendicular to the baseline. Witchcraft.
OpenInkStand Art & Calligraphy In your other video, I think you tend to rotate the nib to the right. I think that's causing your railroading. As much as possible, you want both tines in contact with the paper.
Interesting that calligraphers avoid single spacing to avoid a clash of letter tails and tops. In normal cursive handwriting, where sometimes lack of space makes single spacing unavoidable, the resultant overwriting drives me crazy. Do others avoid that issue somehow, or just put up with said overlaps? Or is double-spacing the norm for lots of hand writers?
hello Schin, I really love your writing and stuff but very curious of your equipment! hope you can include some informations in description for examples the inks and nib or even the pen! (:
im thinking of doing calligraphy how long would it take to write notes in college (while in class) with calligraphy and how fast can you write at max speed?
OpenInkStand Art & Calligraphy Interesting ... wonder what the lifespan is like compared to the normal ones. Should be much better for corrosion resistance.
GenWivern2 The regular Zebra G is chrome plated and lasts longer than normal steel dip nibs. The Titanium Zebra is supposed to last 4 times longer, so that's even cooler.
Just a lot of practice! :) try incorporating things you like into your cursive, and eventually it becomes second nature when you write. But this kind of calligraphy takes A LOT of practice (at least for me) for it to look good.
how can I learn to write like this .... do you know any good methods or books or anything to help me out , I would love to write like this , I'm only 14 but really like this type of stuff ... any suggestions how to start
This was wonderful to watch! How is it that you never had to dip your pen for more ink? I never get more than a letter or two and am out. Is there a trick to getting your nib to hold more ink (and not dump it)? Are there better inks for nib pens?
WHERE ON EARTH CAN YOU BUY THIS PEN? THEIR WEBSITE IS BROKEN (i just get a black blank page when i click on their pen tab) PLEASE HELP! I WANT ONE SO BADLY
oh wow you remember me?! No i never got one because i waited so long for them to actually be for sale that i forgot about them. i got a regular, wooden, "tip insert" one instead which does the job for me just fine.
I can say I like the way you wright and this video was good but it could use some background music and a little more light but good video. Oh and I subscribed thank you.
+TWisgood The Desiderata Flex is basically a fountain pen with a flex/calligraphy nib. It contains a reservoir of ink, so the pen doesn't need to be dipped.
