It’s crazy. Every time I scroll through new uploaded videos in my subscriptions tab, I see another one of your videos. They’re always about what I’m currently learning in my chemistry class. Crazy. I will certainly utilize your videos when needed. 🔥😂
Thanks for showing what happens to a ion with a +3! I've been killing myself over trying to find out why it only moved the answer over 1 element instead of 3.
Are all the elements in the d-block follow the rule where the d sub shell fills first before going to the s sub-shell as you showed on the “exceptions” slides or is that only for 3D series?
She had already removed 2 from Fe2+. She was just working from Fe2+ to Fe3+. If she was showing Fe3+ from just Fe it would have been minus 3. So you’re on the right track I can see where it’s a little confusing
hi for chromium in the video its stated as (Ar) 4s1 3d5 how ever im really confused why fir my lectures the teacher always write it as (Ar) 3d5 4s1 The d is not supposed to come first right? ( based on the aufbau diagram i always use) ive been stuck on this for day plss help thank u!
I think both forms are accepted. It just looks neater I think to write 3d before 4s (even though 3d is higher in energy than 4s). Its a moot point but hope that makes sense!
Ugh having a woman teacher is so refreshing! I've only had male chem teachers and tutors up until this point and I constantly felt stupid and patronized. Melissa, I admire the poise and patience with which you answer questions, especially since most of the questions are ones I had myself! Best chem explainer I have encountered yet :)
