Wouldn't have taken the plot line where we want to go, would be a very short movie. Plus most average civilized people just aren't wired to kill. Hard to just instantly get that Rambo mentality I guess.

If Anakin had just killed Palpatine in the fight against Windu, if Bilbo had killed Gollum,....and lastly, if Amity Island had closed the beach for the 4th of July when Jaws terrified the community, then the stories would not have been NEAR as interesting.

We broke down on the back roads of Georgia once, walked for an hour in unreal heat before we found a house. Place had a 3 legged dog chained to a transmission, and a porch toilet. Never regretted walking that extra 30 minutes to the next place.

To be fair even if you don't see the post credits scene, there's plenty of room for sequels. It's not like those were the ONLY inbred cannibal hillbillies in this movie, just the three that came out of the woods. Drogo was not having that tree stunt.

Those "back roads" were better maintained than most paved roads. Never saw a back road that wide. When I was 12 there was a pretty big flood where I lived. After the waters receded I walked down a back road and found 3 9 inch catfish in a pothole . They were still alive with water in the hole. That's a real back road.

This is just a really enjoyable horror movie. The way they set up the vibe and atmosphere of the setting on the one hand can be really easy, but also so easy to overdo. But they nailed it.

Living in the mountains there is a few rules. You get familiar with all the sounds. When you hear something you dont recognize, no you didnt. Keep going like nothing happened. If you hear the sound of a woman scream or baby cry, no you didnt. Go back to where you came from (house, car, etc). Lastly, be indoors once the sun goes down.

I was looking to see if I had ever passed near Dingess on my family trips from Cincinnati to the Beckley area of WV... don't think so since it's further sw. Was funny after finding Dingess on the map, then zooming out of the map Dingess was still showing up even after Huntington & then Cincinnati disappeared & I saw only big cities & state borders & tiny Dingess was still showing up haha :)

Hi J. I had not seen this movie before so I was not sure what I was in for . Not exactly what I thought it would be and I did not laugh once at your reactions . I did appreciate your sense of humor in your comments a lot and that helped . This was a tough movie for me to get through but I enjoyed your reactions and comments more than this movie . Your co pilots looked concerned a few times for you during this reaction and to see them looking after you was precious . I do not have it in me to re watch this one again ; this reminds me to much of The Hills Have Eyes and that movie was rough on me. I am from Virginia but Not West Virginia and the last time I road on a dirt road was more than 10+ years ago . I do not like dirt roads , street signs that look like I could have made them, or any dead animals on the side of roads so that leaves a lot of places I will not ever be and I am happy with that . J I really enjoyed your reactions and comments for this movie and to be honest I do not believe that I would have stayed and watched it all if it were not for your reactions . Thank you
