The rsx s is a high compression motor with a simple tune and a couple bolt ons can make easy 250hp when thinking about weight and power, if the rsx had those which it sounded like a tuned set up the rsx had the weight advantage.
Nah, me an homies tuned rsx, with I/H/E/ manifold, they usually make it to 217hp-230hp , hardly any makes it to 230, we had one make it to 247hp because he had cams and ran on E85, and a stock frank build made it to 242hp, these cars are just fast cause their light. You can get up to 260+ on NA, but you definitely need an build motor, rods, pistol, valves, cams.
Hahaha to make 250hp he will need stage 2 cams and a good header just with a basemap you can give a wrx problems they arent made to do roll races its only advantage is frm a dig he would have a better chance beating a turbo rsx do to lack of traction
Facts people do truly study numbers if they did you go with the lightest and highest power to weight ratio ..A lite car weighing 2500 lb with 800 hp can beat a 1000 hp gtr
So I came across this video cuz earlier today after fixing an oil pressure switch, I needed to test the car to make sure my vtec was engaging properly. Low and behold I spotted a beautiful sti on. The free way and pulled up next to him for a run. Didn't think I would even be able to keep up with him but had him by a fender from a 60 roll up until about 110 he started to pull on me. Surprised us both. Still love me a Subaru but was totally hyped for my rsx
@ his sti is tuned and all motor kseries cars shine from low rolls til about 120. My rsx is stock cams and stock ported head. I'm starving for air at those speeds while he has a nice turbo to feed him more air. But thx for commenting 👍
@ you misread my comment. I have stock cams and stock ported head. Meaning it's not ported. But it has an rbc manifold that is port matched to my skunk2 70mm throttle body. My rsx runs good and it would beat stock a stock sti no problem. This was just an isolated incident where I happened to run one that pulled better than mine.
@@BlueRice Faster than the type S stock that's for sure. Even the WRX is, let alone the STI. I have an 05 though and I speak about the older ones, I don't like the newer subaru's all that much.
Not surprised. My bolted on 05 type s not tuned will beat 02-07 wrx's stage 2. And I keep up pretty good with my buddies 2018 wrx stage 2. Once i get tuned I'm sure itll be a good run. I Love subarus and hondas I've had both great cars!
Tht is not possible at all, rsx with fbo and best tune ever cannot even beat a stock evo 9 because the power and torque just isnt there for it being NA. Doesnt matter if you race from dig or roll, evo will tke it on any gear. I own a rsx TypeS with fbo and tune, I still get beat by my friends evo9 and evoX and they both running around 330hp only. The only way to beat evo is if you have k24 with k20 or some type of supercharger or turbo. FBO rsx are quick but they do not have a chance against evo. Me and my friends are good racers also, so it isnt driver mod thats forsure. If your really making 380whp then the rsx def does not have any chance at all because thts over 400hp. The fastest fbo rsx prob only gets to around 240-250hp
@@joshuathao4030 yes, we do. We from Socal. Guessing your hmong lol. But yeh we got s2k ap1 and ap2, evo8, evoX, 2 rsx typeS, fa5 Si supercharger, em1 si, genisis 3.8, fully built eg b18, tuned g37, 2019 Civic TypeR, hawkeye STI fully built but stock tune still. Lol we raced alot against each other already. A FBO rsx can keep up or barely beat STI. We hve the best tuners in SoCal so im just saying from my races rsx aint tht fast with fbo tune. Its quick and fun but it needs more than just fbo tune to really beat turbo cars if thyre on fbo too.
@@droptopp3479 I'm up in the PNW with my 8th gen Si, FBO/street tuned by me. Mostly Subarus in my area so that's usually all I run lol. FBO/tune is enough to walk most WRXs, even if they're "stage xyz". Stock STIs too. It can't beat FBO STIs and Evos though. Pretty tired of running only 4 bangers though so I'm putting a TVS1900 on it in the spring. An FBO Honda just isn't enough if you want to run V8s. 400-500whp is where you want to be.
@@lllllllllllllllllllll1lll1 yehh, i know fbo can beat stock wrx and sti but not if thyre fbo or tuned. Them turbos and awd just gives em upper edge already. Yeh any inline is gonna be hard to beat muscles cars if your not supercharged or turboed
