Tai never looked in trouble. She was doing a practice session. Tai knew the cat was in the bag. She was literally toying with her opponent. Not a crease on her brow. Whereas Saina was struggling in second half of game 2. Unless players learn the art of deception this lady Tai will be having a gala time. Saina is a great hardworking player but time is up for her . She will be around but not make any significant marks. A legend is born and her name I Tai.😎
Unfortunate that this was the first round match any other opponent would have been fine. Though Saina looks extremely fit, she played well but tai Tzu Ying is on another level.
Because Tai has so many options in almost every shot, she may sometimes puzzle and has several unforced errors. But she is a genius too difficult to beat.
Good match. Kudo to both players. Saina really made Tai work for the points. Although eventually she lost, but improvement from her previous performance is evident. We also see her adapt trick shots into her arsenal, which worked pretty well in the first game. Exercising more of that would add variety to her weaponry. Her energy seems to improve as well, able to respond to Tai's carpet bombing style attack to the last shot.
Age difference and the difference in game styles is clearly evident but very well done, she stood her ground against a spirited performance from India's all time great female athlete Saina nehwal
Well she is not "born" deceptionist. She worked extremely hard for that, learned from players from different local courts. She worked hard on that aspect, strongly against coach's recommendations. Her original coach(s) think that deception is not a way to learn badminton.
Runsun Pan everybody learn from coaches and work hard at local level but some people are God giffted telent they can do that thing much better than others, Tai Tzu ying is one of them. Everyone have learned deception from there coaches so why they can't do like Tai Tzu ying.
What I meant was that she didn't come up the deception by her own, which suggests that she is not born that way. She has to work hard to achieve that. The point that she knows what she wants better than other players is indeed true.
Runsun Pan born deceptionist means that she have talent from childhood, watch her videos at age of 15 &16 she is having same quality of shots at that age, that's why I m calling her born deceptionist. Born deceptionist does not mean that she was born and she without learning have deception. She have god gifted talent more than others, every body practice hard.
Runsun Pan Actually, if you watch her interviews, she mentions that she developed many of these unorthodox deceptions and playing styles on her own before she even started formal training. There’s no doubt she works hard (which explains why she’s been #1 for so long), but it’s hard to dispute that some players are more naturally gifted than others. I don’t think Saina could hit those types of deceptive shots with the level of creativity and consistency that Tai does; it simply isn’t a part of Saina’s natural game and I’m pretty sure she and the Indian coaches know that
Saina was able to pick up almost all tai's shots today.. The problem was that she was making many mistakes.. Quite happy with Saina's performance today, she looks incredible fit and it'll help her for this hectic season
Just picking up tai's shots won't do she has to hit winners herself , in second game Saina had a lead but only due to unforced errors by tai . Tai corrected her errors and ran away with the match
anurag ghosh you think picking up tai's shots are easy..?.. Exactly she was forcing tai to mistakes because of the quality of her clears..but when SAINA started to attack tai was able to play her normal fast paced game and that made the difference eventually. Happy that Saina is looking fit
ARJUN U V never said it was easy she did well on that part , but that won't be enough and u can't expect a player like tai Tzu Ying to make a whole lot of errors, she may extend the match but not win. As for Saina she looked very fit and lean unfortunately got a bad draw any other opponent would have been fine.
how about it "where is Gillian Clarke -- she would know that the flag for service judge is of Belgium not Germany" :-D but even without Gillian really nice game.

saina's footwork is too bad and her legs are too heavy like an elephant, simply no match. Saina's style of playing will not be affective against all rounded player like tai
Nehwal kayak bocah kecil di maenin orang dewasa.. Kocar kacir ngejer bola.. Kocak banget liat gerakan Nehwal .. Hehehe.. Tapi ngapa jorji kalah telek Ama Nehwal ya..
@@arjunuv4881 do u want me give stats of 2018..?dont know on what basis you are telling this.. or you want me to post some videos of 2018 games that she played with other players and lost..?
Just as a tip - it’s not customary to drop the third name in a lot of East Asian names - she either goes by her last name (Tai) or her full name, Tai Tzu Ying. Calling her Tai Tzu doesn’t make sense lol
Saina u have to lose weight for good egility , streangth and stepping #you r a badminton player not a pehlwan not a wrestler 🙏please saina we expect a lot from u
but the last win was in 2013, tai is superb but not unbeatable, she did lose to yamaguchi and ratchanok on quite a few occasions. Infact, she even has a worse head to head against ratchanok. Even back in 2015 and 16 when tai wasn't this fit and saina was in top 5, she couldn't beat tai.
Has anyone noticed that Tai has got adam's apple? How odd was that!! How come she has that if she is a female? I start to question her gender now. it seems to be a bit odd
If you bother to look around with an open mind and eyes, you will see this is not uncommon in women, just as it is not uncommon to find men with no visible Adam's apple. I guess you are looking for some excuse to explain away TTYs obvious and hard worked-for skills.
