Big thanks to the DeMarini pros - Jeff Flood, Dale Brungardt, Chris Larsen, and Mitchell Johnson - for coming and winning some games for the Showbombs!
this hr limit is the dumbest thing ive heard of...my brothers tried to get me to play and told me that only get 1 hr and that pretty much sealed the "nope"
@@ryanpellegrini1023 it literally says every guys name during their first at bat lol. he's even trying to cut the ball to keep it in and not use up stupid hr's and he can't. so fucking dumb using pro m's in this cold weather lol
I like watching you guys and telling myself it's the ball since I play ASA. Then, I refuse to hit with that ball because I would have to admit that you guys are just that much better than me. So, I keep telling myself it's the ball. You guys are awesome, thanks for the videos to get us through this cold Northwest depressing winter of 2020, the year in which softball was illegal for Washington residents. Sigh......
@@leviwise5490 i guess if you hit a home run nearly ever time you bat your able to plau high as you want. When i used to play sp, a lot of leagues limited your total hr for one team. After which you were out. Crazy rule, huh?
Well when your baseball career is over and you still want to compete, this is the next best thing. I've been playing for 20 years now, I've played slowpitch with guys that got drafted by MLB teams, college players, and a bunch of Rec guys and every single moment has been tons fun. This is a hitting game unlike baseball, don't knock it until you try it.
Yeah, kind of a D move. Maybe it was just the quick editing, but they didn't even acknowledge it with the pitcher. Or maybe you just don't do that at this level. Where I play you immediately acknowledge the pitcher with a "my bad" or something if you hit a screamer up the middle.
The fact that the pitcher is wearing gear to protect himself shows you how much the game has changed in the past 30 years. The speed at which the ball comes off those bats now is absurd. This was not the case when I played. Very few people hit home runs back then. However there was this one time when I played in a game in 1990 in which 17 home runs were hit. Where we were playing we could see a storm off in the distance, but it wasn’t raining where we were it was just really windy. So we started the game. All 17 home runs were hit in the first inning between the two teams. The game was called after the first inning because the storm we saw in the distance spawned a tornado. when the sirens went off the game was canceled. We took shelter in the clubhouse. The wind was blowing so hard in the first inning that routine pop ups just carried over the left field fence. If you could pull it and put it any air under the ball, it was going out. Balls hit to right field in the air were breaking back 50-60 feet toward center field. The tornado never hit the sports complex directly, but it was within a few miles. I don’t think anyone on our team hit another home run over the fence the rest of the year.
Can anyone tell me what bat is the absolute best for juice? I don’t care about weight or compression. I play in a beer league and just want to hit bombs! Let me know, thanks!
@@allenanderson3649 when guy's would go middle on our pitcher and say sorry on the way to 1st our pitcher use to tell back, don't tell me your sorry, tell your pitcher 😂
I live in Stockton,California and one of the guys in Manteca Tommy Langenhorst i know i spelled it wrong, lol! He could hit a ball.He still can at age 56,i'm the same age played with team worth back in the day and we knocked off Dan Belew one tournament. They had sticks, but these guys hitting are cream of the crop#Respect
Will, you need to learn how to hit “SoCal”. Good tool for when HRs are gone. Mitch or Larsen can teach you. As a prolific DBO hitter myself, I had to learn ;)
Softball used to be an exciting community event...then with the hot bats and balls, the kid picked last in gym class could start hitting homers and the interest started to die. Very sad.
Believe it or not, it takes mega skills to be a big overweight man to hit an underhanded slow pitched coconut out of the park with a loaded bat. Watch the egos drop and the bomb's stop if they used wooden bats.
Swung Mac Rios Onyx 1K Hunting Season at a tournament that he just so happened to be at. He recorded my at bat and I took a pitchers glove off with a middle shot(non intentional). Thought it was pretty cool considering it’s called the “Hunting Season” he yelled out “Nice swing kid” once I reached first lmao
Have you done a video on the senior Denny crine bat ? It’s supposed to be the senior version of this bat. I have both this bat and the Denny crine. Both are great
Did you guys at least acknowledge the pitcher when you decided to hit screamers up the middle? I get this is a more competitive and higher skill level than your average rec league, but that would be causing problems where I play.
This video sounds like guys being forced to go to work when I'm listening to it. No crowd involvement, no bench encouragement, doesn't sound or seem like anyone is having fun! I get that its higher level competition, but seems like the crowd should be higher level too! LETS GOOOOOOOO!!! lol
I don’t understand why guys just don’t start regular baseball leagues. This is just stupid. At least it would be more like actual baseball. You don’t need to be throwing 90mph or curve balls. What’s the point in this?
player: i play slow pitch player: hits over the fence player: watches ball like he is Barry Bonds NCAA women's softball player: that's a nice little sport.
This in my opinion destroyed the real game of softball the bats and balls makes everyone a homerun hitter, bombat and debeer 212, most of these guys turn into base hitters.
It's crazy how good these guys are . I pitch but you can't really pitch to these guys . I've played against Dennis Ruhli and Andy Purcell. The team also had Cory Snyder and a few other big time names . They smashed us but I went 4 for 4 against Andy Purcell . After the game he shook my hand and said great consistent hitting young man . I was on cloud 9 . it was the original Genesis I swung before the new ones came out . There's my big softball moment if you will
Reading some of the negative comments just tells me these guys have never played in a slo-pitch game let alone a tournament ... I played every type of ball Baseball Fastball Softball and Slo-pitch ... Slo-pitch is probably the most fun and can be very challenging when you face a really good team trying to win the tourny ...
Question bat bros gonna get a demarini Larson or jilted I swing a 27 oz endload. In demarini are they light should I go up too a 28 oz. I currently game a miken freak 30 27 oz.
Same guys hitting bombs with no one on... trash. Get some damn bat control and keep the ball in the yard. I’d be pissed that the same guys can’t hit the top half of a damn softball. Complete lack of bat control.
First pitch flood takes out the pitchers foot in 29degrees 😂😂. Man I got the opportunity to meet Larsen at snowball in Denison, TX one of the coolest people ever sad to hear that he passed away.
