It's likely that the reason they had the tracking bars out on Yvan Muller's car on the grid is that he may have upset the suspension geometry or even bent some suspension components in his trip over the sausage kerbs and the team may not have had time to check all that out while doing the engine change, so they're using all the time available to make sure the car has some kind of set-up on it for the race. Thumping one of those sausages at racing/qualifying speeds can easily upset or even break suspension or steering parts...
Another boring track, cars too similar performance, and when a driver does go for a move they get a 5 sec penalty....seriously, rather watch paint dry!
No One most of the tracks on the schedule are really good. This may be the worst track of the year. The over regulation has forced the drivers to be too timid on tracks like this.
@@mijbau kool, ill check out the other tracks , was not aware of this racing category , due to nz always getting v8 supercars thrown in our faces . More interested in the euro cars now that I see that the audi r8 holds the record for fastest lap round bathurst "excluding the f1 of course " being a car that is not road legal .
What a boring race, why isn't there a touring car championship with sedans? It would be way more interesting, and why is the cars volume so low? And why are tracks like this on calendar? Absolutely no chances of passing, a goddamn procession, boring as hell. Why is FIA trying to kill touring car races?
@@jamesblunt1915 I am italian so I can tell you why, it's because our streets are quite narrow and fuel costs a lot, I am not blaming hatchbacks but they surely aren't touring cars, it bothers me to see a "world touring car championship" with tiny cars
