Taken from Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, ABC's Sunday Night Movie, airing on the network's affiliate WTEN (channel 10) in Albany, New York. ABC had most movie rights to the Indy films, and also had a two-season series called The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles during the early 90s.
Cary Berglund appears in the news briefs. The next day, October 2nd, he was given a pink slip, as WTEN would fire most of its news staff upon switching owners to Young Broadcasting. The changes came as a jumpscare to many of those working, and it did not help WTEN get out of the ratings cellar.
