I think its highly probable that the periscope optic had something to do with the point of impact shift! I would be interested to see if when you take that periscope video optic off of the scope there's another shift in impact. AirArmsHuntingSA is a you tuber who hunts is South Africa and is always using scope cams for his high power rifle shots and his high power air gun hunting, try finding out what he uses!

You should use a grain bin/silo for your upright structure.

Havent slipped rings yet. But have had 2 scopes have some lenses shift inside my tube. One had part of my reticle shift from 6 O'clock to about 4ish. Didnt notice at first until a friends grouping was just garbage (massive spread)

I used to use an old digital camera for this scope application when clearing out birds with pellet guns. Go pros and IPhones took over now a days.

use your finger on the screen to auto-focus again and then adjust your parralax then refocus again and it will be clear through any magnification

The weight of the camera set up would pull ur scope enough to effect range. On the back left it pulls the front of the scope high right so ur hitting low left

Hey Lunkers. You should check out the software Scope Knob. I shoot field target so air rifle 10-55 yards with an 8 grain pellet moving at sub 12 ft lbs (rules). I have to use a parallax wheel to calculate distance which doesn't apply to you but you can print your yardages on a tape that is perfectly sized to your scope, moa adjustment ratio, and number of clicks per rotation. If you are shooting at a known range your tape will say whatever your dial is that you have written down, i.e 800 - 9:1, 1200 +1,1:2, whatever format works for you. The loop my shots take within 55 yards, with wind gauging is known as much as the ballistics for your round wt. , power load , barrel twist rate and bullet shape. Its way easier for me to just check my dial and spin it in a competition than to check a pad. The program will also adjust to whatever is wrong. If one of your dials is off, redial and mark correction. with just 2 known distance corrections it will correct all the others. You'll probably never see this, but maybe someone else who shoots will. Hope to be able to apply it soon to actual long distance with a real rifle.

You should check out Matt Dubbers channel on harmonic tunning , or any of his hunting videos . Yes he shoots air rifles but he does shoot powder burners . He uses a scope camera system for ballistics science . You can't see the bullet of a .223 but you can see the vapor trails of powder burners . Shoot straight and often . "Deeds not words" Whiskey 68 does some great long range shooting with air rifles too . The scope footage is assume .

I highly recommend you get a 7mm-08 in your arsenal! It's a .308 with better ballistics. 7mm-08 is my favorite short action cartridge

I had a problem like that with one of my rifles muzzle brake came loose. I would rezero and by the time I came back out the rifle would be off again. I would you just give your a rifle a good once over make sure everything is good and tight muzzle brake bipod stock screw scope rings scope mounts and go from there.

Iv always had that problem with reading its my add with anxiety and teachers never helped thank the lord iv learned to overcome it by forcing myself to practice reading of course i typed all that to say i understand bro can't wait to order your book

Add lines on your scope where the rings meet so if your scope slips you can tell if the lines don't match the rings

alright i have a question, in not an experienced shooter by any means, but im interested in learning long range, and being better with my hand gun. and im not gunna lie it seems a little intense with a bunch of military stuff, and i think it sounds great for someone experienced who wants to up their game but i dont know if its for someone like me who has never shot a rifle long range and just wants to learn. will you offer a class for total beginners? love the vids keep up the good work!

i think the weight of the phone and mount is throwing off the mounting points of the scope pulling it very very slightly out of position. if I was to take a guess.

Bullet notes. . Scopes gather light and magnify through lenses .your scope cam bends light to the phone by using mirrors .maybe causing you to be shooting left . The other scope cam you used was a straight shot through the scope. . If you pull the cam off and send rounds down range and are now off target you would know 100% if that's the case. . This is just a shot and the dark and sounded good in my head. Keep it up dude like the content
