This guy is probably the best informational resource on Unreal out there. He gives you the basic building blocks of understanding a feature or function instead of "Just do this to make this" and it really can't be understated how valuable that is.
Its honestly sad that there is only one guy who actually understands what teaching means. If someone is good at something comes down to if his teacher was good.
this guy makes the short and transparent explanations. he is brilliant! not like the others - spending hour for explaining and you still can't understand.
This is one of those things where I was like "Surely something like this exists in Unreal, it has to", and boy was I relieved to find out that it does :D Thanks for the vid!
And sometimes it just doesnt exist and i have to explain to my team, why i can't "just make it happen" and have to find a workaround for the rest of the day :D
Great video. How would you use this to change the state of a texture? Like, adding cracks to a smooth rock when you press the button without changing it's color or anything that was already on it.
This looks like it is a bug in the current version (4.14 and below possibly) but it IS fixed in 4.15. I just tested it in 4.14 and had the issue but the same setup in 4.15 worked fine! answers.unrealengine.com/questions/552859/umg-material-not-reflecting-parameter-collection-c.html
