Drew, haven’t heard from you in a while. Seen your other channel has disappeared as well. Hope all is ok with you. This is such a great, down to earth channel. It would be such a shame to see it slow down or stop!
Really like your channel, alongside your humour and personal views, great content, I hope all is ok and well drew, people been dropping like flies this year, hope your not among them buddy, take care 👊🏼
Fair play Drew, I'm 69 and still waiting on my mid/life crisis, just haven't grew up yet. I've only 3 guns Remington wingmaster, Cz452 22lr and a Rapid 7 mk1 22 FAC. Everything a man could ever need to survive 😀. All the very best mate
That Pro-Sport is definitely a keeper! I like that rifle a lot! I do that from time to time too ...get rid of a bunch of stuff I dont regularly use, but then I seem to get more again over time. Life is one heck of an adventure, eh?!! Thanks for the video! Take care! ✌️
I think what you’re doing is a Scandinavian thing called death cleaning. As you quite rightly said it’s very liberating have a more minimalist lifestyle and is good for you mentally, it also means that when you pass there’s less for someone else to clear up and you’ve already decided where your stuff goes. So it’s all good. As for reducing the rifle count I heard the Americans have a saying “Watch the man with one gun he’ll probably know how to use it!”
Hello Drew, good evening. I'll have one, or both of your things you're selling and turn them into target rifles (like the Prosport contraption I did a few months ago)) let me know when I can come round to see you... I'll bring in a couple of Webley Service Rifles for a video if you want.. All the best and see you soon Jon .
Must be an age thing - I'm 63 and the last few months I too have started to get the itch for a damn good clearout of 'stuff'....long way ( and a lot of junk) to go.
@@PlanetDrewdog Yeah it certainly does, trouble is you know that 'thing' you've had on the shelf for 20 years and never touched will only be needed the week after you've got rid of it!
Please, i need little help. im totally lost in air goons rifles. So i liwe in Croata and in town haw my garden for treaning (but need to bee not too loud) also i hae beutiful ranc wher i can bee wild as in western ). You are so right! Before I get 70 I will also sell my airrifles...I will sell 50 of them...and keep only 5 of them my HW35E, one of my four HW97K, my AA Prosport, my AA TX200 and my Walther LGV.😊
Morning Drew, been a while since I’ve seen anything drop from my favourite channel to view with a brew on a Sunday Morning, hope all is well with you mate. Take it easy 👍
Hey up young Drew, I am nearing 82 years of age and I did the same thing as you, got rid of all my air riflles apart from one, I am now up to six air rifles and still counting ! I look forward to your next new rifle review. Regards Mick.
Interesting as always, with a slightly surprising twist. I'm far from being a prepper, but I'm fortunate to live somewhere where there is a lot of rural area close by and I've also put away a fair few items potentially useful if there is a SHTF scenario. I think a foot pump PCP and a spare set of seals would be a good addition too (I'd even get some exercise out of that ;) ) - thanks for the nudge in that direction. Regards acquiring lots of gear, be it airguns, musical gear, photo gear, fishing gear, I admit to a history of having a purge, and then, surely enough, the joy of bargain acquisition and associated opportunity for 'having handy', and also the prospect for fettling and tinkering creeps back in again ... ;) If you happen to read this, just wondering, are you planning less content on this channel now you have sold off most of your airguns - and maybe more content on you other channel? Either way, I enjoy them both. 👍
Thanks brother. As for the channel - I'll always make airgun videos because it's a part of my life, so yes there will be new content👍 There may well be fewer uploads, simply due to the time it takes to run three channels - airguns, photography/video, and the new personal channel.
You're cool AF 😎 .. love your mindset and individually..so refreshing in a world full of sheeple....Nice airgun talk to ,that's what we're here for primarily...I've got a tx200 full length walnut stock and tuned to its max potential..real thing of beauty, I'm looking for a pcp also ..hw100 is really getting my head turned again ..start saving up I suppose
Sir, I found your channel a week ago. I never knew there was so much to know about air rifles. I live on a small sailboat and was thinking about buying a crossbow pistol to defend again marauding rats. Maybe if you have time you could recommend an air pistol or short barrel rifle that could do the job? Thank you. John paul
Hey drew im looking at getting the milbro explorer would love to see a video on it of you have the time or if anyone could let me no if it’s worth getting . Mainly for rats at the yard my mrs horses are kept at .
I'm getting a bit of an urge to cut back on mine. I'm at a stage where I have rifles that never see the light of day. It's not going to be easy. In fact, it's painful. 😅😢
I have a MK1 Air Arms TX200, it too is my emotional support rifle, what a tool that is, still sits at 11.25 +/- 0.2 over 40 shots, I did the whole PCP thing but realised that a springer will always look after you if you look after it, if you run out of air in your divers bottle in the field, a PCP is a bugger and a right old work out to fill it back up if you use a pump, but with a springer, the only thing I'm gonna run out of is room to put my quarry, I kept my rat catcher for ultra quiet shooting but know it wont last the night, I have to say thank you for your vid "home defence UK- Tips To Keep YOU Out Of Prison." some sage advice in that vid. Stay safe and keep on having fun.
I'm new to this channel, and I'm binge watching everything but I've noticed there's no videos after this one, is everything okay or are you just finished with RU-vid???
Yeah life has been 'interesting' for a while... I'll explain in a video soon. I am coming back to it though probably in the next week or so. Thanks brother.
I find that I now prefer to keep only what brings me joy and have started discarding the stuff that just gathers dust. I think I have found more pleasure giving some of my airguns away to families around me than I ever received while shooting them. Hope you're well.
Just came across your channel and absolutely love your videos and style! I’m from the UK and I always say to my wife that I was born in the wrong country as everything I love or want to do is very American and I totally saw this in you when I first watched. Subscribed now and looking forward to catching up and more new videos. Keep it up.
excellent, somewhat in the same situation..again . its hard but makes necessary. Several times over bought the same stuff over again ...especially my hws. Sort of at the end of the line. ..but as a married man my wife will not get rid of any of her stuff, its a problem. have not had a pcp f 10 years though. best
I knew you’d never get rid of the pro sport buddy, they’ll burry you with the pro sport! And my new pro sport which I mentioned I’d finally bought a few weeks ago is just amazing and I’ll never sell mine. The stock on yours is beautiful did you oil it to darken it and if so what did you use? They are the pinnacle of a springer collection though aren’t they? I sold one of my Weihrauch’s over the weekend my little trusty 99s which the day before I nailed a rat in my back garden but I have a new hw100 kt in 177 and two 99k’s in 22 and 177 along with a HW 97k blue laminate in 22 and my very first springer which is a webley tracker in 22 which still shoots spot on and in really good condition which one day will be passed to my nephew as that’s the gun he always asks about and the gun I taught him to shoot with 30 years ago, but I’m making him wait until I’ve popped my clogs! So I decided to part with the 99s because theirs one neighbour who is a total pain and every time I shoot a rat she can hear the crack and always kicks off as she’s not a full shilling, she feeds the bloody things because they are cute with their little faces!!! I tell you her cheese fell off her cracker years ago! So you can imagine the size of some of them I shoot one was 18 inches from nose to tail and had a body as big as a house brick! Anyhow buddy good to see you again and have a good birthday.
The Pro Sport honestly feels like they made it just for me, to my specifications! It's irreplaceable really. Sorry to hear about the loony neighbor feeding the cute little rats... folk are strange. Thanks brother👍 Drew
I'm doing the same in many ways , I like how you addressed your fav. Two bongs hits and a prayer of fulfilment for your next phase in your journey brother.
Ah late spring clean cowboy 😊. I have a Suzuki dr 400, Suzuki gsxr 1000k5, Yamaha rd 350 ypvs, Bmw r/8, BSA 650 super rocket,4 rifles,5 pistols an heaps more clutter ,too much stuff collecting over the years 😂! Well good luck with the next stage of your life an best of luck with your u tube channels . Greetings Portsmouth England 🏴
lovely to see you again my friend ,.. missed you i also need to do this ,… i have a far bigger rifle problem unfortunately and far too attached to pretty much all of them ,…but i really don’t need them ,…. i remember only having 3 , my first .177 checz z2 4.3ftlb 😃 and my webley victor .22 then when i got serious at the club a .22 tx200hc ,…. you know how many i now have so i won’t say in the open 😉😩🤓😩😜 great to see you back ! Daniel ferraro 💪🏻
As always in life, when they have gone, and time moves on, you think about what you had and how happy it made you feel, then you would like to feel that happiness again. The trouble is buying the same back has become expensive, lesson learned, LMAO.
Hi pal I'm 68 ,came back to air rifle shooting when i was forced into early retirement at 64 , i have 6 rifles 5 pcp's, and have recently bought a hw98 , what a rifle, pcp's are to easy ,it going to take some time to shoot a Springer again, look after yourself pal,
Hi there Johnny here from South Africa absolutely love your content, great stuff keep on keeping on 💪 Would you consider making a video on how to improve the power of a springer air rifle
Strange things, collections. Glad you're keeping the stuff that has memories attached. If seeing something brings a smile to my face, and it's not taking up too much space or costing money... I'm keeping it. Of all the hobbies I've done, I still have most of the gear :) But only one airgun, my beloved pcp. (looking for a light plinker.)
Yeah space is a fairly major consideration for me - this cabin is cramped at the best of times! But, I'm grateful and more than happy with what I have👍
I hope you're ok Bud. I'm 10 years behind you and have already started thinking about all my 'stuff' from various hobbies over the years that I have stored inside and out about the place. I'm in the N.E so too far otherwise I'd have bought your rifles. Be Well Bud.
I can understand where your coming from I feel the same way I'm 56 and I have airguns that are just sitting in my cabinet that I'm not using and I was trying to get rid of a few for low low prices but people just don't seem to what to spend no money.
starting on the same journey as you fishing tackle getting stripped down to three rods and small ruck and lots of other stuff being moved out looking forward to it
Nice to see your return brother, I think it’s good to have a clear out every now and again, as we can all become hoarders and I’m probably one of the worst. hope you’re keeping well and look forward to some more content.👍🏼
I wouldn't call you a hoarder brother. You have a small number of top line rifles that you worked damn hard to get. Hope we can meet up soon - I'd like to try that new one👍
Good afternoon to ya young man 😊. I reached 66 back in April bus pass the effing lot lol. I'm after another gun. I've only got plinkers but need that forever gun and I think that's a tx200. If you weren't so far I'd visit ya. I'm in south west wiltshire but hale from the east end for my sins. Ex plod AFO and practical shotgunner. I love your channel, you're such a laid back fucker😂. Take care and enjoy yer retirement.
HA! Bus pass - I hadn't even thought of that! Turning 66 is bloody weird eh? Still feel roughly the same as when I was 35 - until I see that ugly old fecker in the mirror... I'd guess retirement is both a relief and a let down in some ways after the adrenalin of your job? Yeah the TX200HC gets my seal of approval - it's a superb tool. Thanks brother! Drew
Hi Drew, thanks for the reply mate! Yes you're right, upstairs I'm still young but like you, when I look in the mirror I do a double take, cant believe the ol bastard thats looking back at me lol. Thanks for your opinion and take care. All the best Rozza (bers erker)😊
Sorry Rob - got snowed under with comments across the channels - yes my brother, getting sorted out here. Thank you my friend. I truly appreciate your consideration. Drew
Too much stuff aquired ends up feeling like it owns you but think 3 is a good number , got 2 right now and prefer anything [ underdog ] as such - probably because im cheap thou really .
I have a ProSport in 22 , an AAS400 and DS Huntsman revere in 177 , my grandson shoots the S400 , the other two I shoot and they are enough for me. My garage is full of motorcycle and bicycle stuff , thats were I need to go minimalist 🙂
Superb taste in rifles brother. Those Daystates are very fine tools. Oh, and good luck with the garage - I used to be a car and motorcycle guy - took me years to make sense of that lot!
@@PlanetDrewdog little update on the prosport. Stripped it , gave it a clean and regreased , tightened all the bolts to the appropriate torque and lock tite them , now using the appropriate hold over its hitting a one inch hole in a "crow" at 50 metres , its now so accurate I am a very happy shooter 🙂
Good to see you back Drew, great to see you keeping that beautiful Prosport, would of bought the express if it were .177, maybe see you sometime in Sunny Hunny brother 😎
@@PlanetDrewdog that's great news Drew, hoping that even though you've slimmed down your gun stash, this won't mean you'll stop with the shooting videos, would love to see more from that wonderful Prosport 🙂
Yeah it's a shame, problem is to post air rifles is a pain in the uk - I believe I have to send via an RFD which adds a ton to the cost of a 'cheap' rifle.
Hey Drew!!! Missed you and your videos! Welcome back! Was starting to think that you were going to be road tripping and playing music for a while and giving up philosophy and airguns. How's your little lady? Are we ever gonna get to see her beat you in a shooting match? We got a beautiful build up and intro, and then crickets. I thought maybe you guys decided to go on a whirlwind world tour life journey early. Hope you are enjoying life and your ever present cup of joe. Give us an update on what you've been busy with. Stay Safe. Be Well. GOD BLESS.
Hey Ken! Good to see you here my friend👍 Well, the lady's equine business is taking off lately - she seems to work enough hours for three people. However, we are hoping to get some videos done together before the summer is over. Thanks for asking - yes I'll probably post updates over on my personal channel I think. I hope all is well with you brother, Drew
Hey Drew, I hope you and your lovely lady are both well and happy. I was pretty busy for a while getting my wife and kids situated in America but I have recently come back to RU-vid and saw that you have not put out any new videos recently. You are one of my favourite content creators and I miss watching your videos. Today is Thanksgiving and I want to wish you well. May Almighty and Merciful FATHER continue to BLESS you and your loved ones with HIS GRACE, LOVE, and PROTECTION, now and always. In JESUS' HOLY NAME I pray. Amen.
I sold my beloved Walnut Pro Sport recently Drew.......on the basis of telling myself that all I needed was my HW97 k......HW98.......and TX200. Long story short.......I bought another Walnut Pro Sport within a month ! ( Even lovlier hrain than the 1st ) Good job I didn't spend the money from the 1st sale !!!! I'm very content with my family of 4 again.
