Big L was an absolute menace, he was demolishing everyone that stepped to him in any rap battle. He definitely would have been top 10 all time if he didn't die early on.
@@dezgroovoo7000 It was about the beef between Wu, and Biggie. There were characters reppin Big L and Fat Joe also. BIG was poppin at the time and on Cuban Links there's even a skit where Rae and Ghost talk about dudes stealing album covers. It was a reference to Ready to Die's album cover. Illmattic had a picture of Nas as a kid and they said Biggie copied it.
Big L made this country brotha living on a farm wanna rap 😂. "On 139 and Lenox Ave there's a big park, and if you're soft don't go through it when it gets dark.” - Big L
@@HooodClassicsTV Big L > Literally every part of Biggie and his music. And only Illmatic is better than Big L's stuff. Apart from that, you're smoking too much crystal.
Was kind of expecting to see Mobb Deep in that episode but whatever. At least we still got Nas, Big L, B.I.G, Fat Joe. They could’ve just showed Mobb in Nas’s scene or could’ve showed Pun sat next to Joe
And also they were both on the same label it would’ve been dope for a cameo at least I would’ve loved to see them make Right Back At You or Eye For An Eye
still hoping to see that Mobb Deep cameo 🙏🏾 they deserve their own series or film too, Prodigy’s book is a dope read and insight to their careers and 90s hip hop in general
The imagery for biggie and ghost and rae was spot on. The competition with the sales and biggie days dressed like a mob boss with Jr maff coincides with the starks and diamonds persona. I get it and nas, big l, and joe just neutral, doing their own thing.
100%. That's why they have to do these "fantasy" episodes, because they can't tell real stories about crack sales and murders when the real artists are still around today. They also can't get too obvious about the beefs and rivalries because that'll become a whole thing
@@tw8661 they also brushed off how much coke n dust they was doing around that 1st wave of wu albums....them dudes was still in the streets...it just seem like they ain't telling us much this season about what was going on...
@@jay07261986 They did show that the members were still selling crack even after they released songs because they didnt have a label yet. So thats pretty accurate
you cant tell that this person sounding like mase is suppose to be nas lmfao he looks more like a super younger version of bernie mac nothing at all look like nas lol.
This whole clip caught me off guard and was my favourite. I just wish they had included mobb deep but then prodigy is mentioned on the second last episode so 🤷🏾♂️
The "unheard of" competitors that Big was talking about coming up was none other than.....Jayz. he dropped in 96 also and was on that same mafiaso wave
I knew this was gonna be my fave ep lol dude who played big L was on point too. Nigga who played biggie in the unsolved series reprised his role which I kinda knew would happen. And nas was a coo cameo. They def gotta have Tupac and Suge in this cus rza and another member got beat down in club 662 and got they chains snatched by death row mob piru’s
@@TheYungPrince it would add more depth if they did. A lot of high octane wu tang fans don’t even know that happened and be coming at my neck cus they refuse to believe it lol
@@tyliekinc. real shit no offense to you but I find it funny a lot of die hard wu tang fans never heard of that story. I’m from L.A. and nwa and death row was my shit so I heard the majority of stories and conflict with other rappers. Rza and another wu affiliate did when they was in suges club in Vegas when it happened and rza got his chain snatched and his ass beat by suges blood niggas. Tupac then got it back for him. Look it up. Even meth and ugod said this happened in interviews
@@eastwood1026 2pac is a real one for getting it back for rza. Rza was obviously the least hard of the group tho. I dont think it wouldve happened if the whole clan was there. Rza was just an easy target
Everytime I see the actor for Biggie I get mad cus he should've been the one cast to play him in "Notorious". Jus go watch "Unsolved", he killed it as Biggie in that too.
Probably the best episode. Their character resemblance. The only one that I didn't catch was Esco aka Nas. And that's because they said his name. When Frank said it's always an up-and-coming person waiting to take the spot, I thought it was Jay-Z lol He was the only one that was close. But I was happy af that they acknowledged Big L because even though he wasn't commercially successful he his name was buzzing in New York during this period.
So Fank white is Biggie! That's who they go see after pun. Like the way they made connections with everyone who started that whole mafia thang back in the 90s .
Yeah but it's not only about talent it's also about real and fake ones and nobody wants their true full to be put out there on display for fear of having their rep or image tarnished. Some of these "talents" have been exposed as snitches, others have had their a@# beat up in front of their mentees. Others got extorted.

whoah this was the one episode i slept on and it has my favorite rapper big l i wouldnt of even known this if i didnt look up some scenes because i loved this show so much good work to everyone who worked on it
😂😂 nahhh man me and my dad were dying when we found out this was supposed to be Nas. Fat Joe and Big L were spot in but Nas?? They fumbled the only way we found it was him was because the Verbal Intercourse sample was playing
That’s completely on you tbh. Big L beat playing in the background. He said “here on 139 & lenox” which is where hes from and he shouts out 139 in like all his songs
Honestly i fucked with the episode. Didn’t know it was Nas at first, but I view it on the same level as the “Protect Ya Neck” or the 3rd episode , viewing their world through a different lens. This time the rap game is like the drug game/mob world. I fucked with the Biggie cameo too
Here's my 2 cents on the Nas casting to me i think they did to kind throw us off and not make it Obvious of who he suppose to be Reason why Big L was obvious because unfortunately Not many folks knew About Big L like that and Fat Joe was also a sleeper until he said Jealous Ones Envy Part also why BIG rocked a beard instead of bein clean shaved as well They didnt wanna make things too obvious of who is who
