23:30, reset to open side 23:33, ho stack cutting from 4th lane 25:22, open side handler is positioned poorly, creating a poach and forcing the disc to the sideline. Should be 45 degrees behind, not ahead on the open side. 25:31, reset to the break side 25:41, what to watch out for when hucking playing ho stack. (Also see 27:44 for another angle.) 26:52, reset to open side 27:04, failed reset to open side 30:45, reset to open side 33:22, reset to open side 33:32, Claphan missed opportunity to switch on the upline here. (Give-go cut upline to open side, so the mark was out of position.) 35:57, starting at the force cone 36:42, reset to open side 39:40, reset to open side 43:25, Turnover bc lack of options. Lack of options because guy in top right of screen needlessly clogs the open side (this seems to be a flick force). On top of that, the mark (#?), flash poaches the open side knowing that there's a potential give go upline, and there's nothing to throw to on the breakside, so that chews up another couple seconds. Finally, the cut for the reset was on a different vector than the thrower anticipated/read, so he threw it just out of reach. 43:48, Handler upline on open side 47:17, good ho flow for the next 3 throws 51:30, reset to break side 51:42, I like how Ring 14 gets open here. Takes advantage of the mark cheating, but clrears from the handler reset space, seemingly just making room on that cut, but turns it into something even more productive and then throws the assist from that position. 53:57, same issue as 25:41. Throwing to a cutter who looks open, but there are poaches from other players hanging out quite deep. 1:13:24, open side handler reset block. Great defense on the reset! 1:13:41, really weird switchy D here by Clapham. All over the place. Made it look like Ring was playing hex 1:22:08, could tell Clapham would turn it here. They aren't creating any options with their cutting and struggle to get open for resets with this formation. 1:29:12, why isn't this a turnover? A pick is called (by 88?), disc is thrown, it's claimed to have affected play for the offense, so no turnover??? That's BS. The only person Ring was throwing to cut away from the disc with no relation to the pick call... 1:31:33, interesting handler reset 1:38:09, lefty scoober why not 1:45:33, hail mary reset to the break side 1:46:40, when poaches backfire 1:47:54, bladey reset to break side (there was lots of this this game, but haven't noted them at all)

1:29:15 is surely always a turn. A pick call doesn't affect offence throwing the disc away?

Before the throw, so both teams have to agree that play wasn’t affected to override the “disc goes back because play stopped” rule

It probably should have been, but the Ring player was not being particularly fair in saying that the pick call impacted play. Jack Williams turned away at the exact moment he threw it - it had nothing to do with the pick call.

@@squidge903 but fisher might have tried to rescue it if not for stopping play to call the pick

@@squidge903 i thought that clapham sliding catch was out earlier in the game too, so perhaps it all evens out

@@squidge903 yea that's my feeling. Doesn't seem "reasonable to assume" one of your own players "may" make an extraordinary play. I feel as though maybe the 'did not affect' rule for picks should - for the most part - only apply to the intended receiver and their defence.

1:23:41 This call bugs me. There is very slight contact before the mark. If you want to call foul there that's fine. But don't continue to throw through the mark that was at the release point first and then call foul.
