Hey everyone, Guess what, The wait is finally over! Kuro Games just dropped some incredible news, and I couldn't wait to share it with you all. After a week of silence, they're back with a bang, teasing us with a brand-new character drip marketing for Wuthering Waves, and it's nothing short of amazing!

The first resonator featured is Xiangli Yao, and the second one is Zhezhi. For those unaware, sound effects for both characters have been leaked. You can find these leaks on our Discord server. We knew they were coming, but not as 5-star units. We were expecting Scar, Camellya, or even Phrolova to be the next 5-star, but instead, we have these new characters. Let's talk about them.
First, Xiangli Yao: "Huaxu Academy's Principal Investigator, Xiangli Yao, displays exceptional expertise in various research fields despite his young age. He is a gentle yet rational soul, embracing unique insights and a commitment to the research of Automata Mechanics." In our last video, we predicted he'd be a 4-star pistol user. While the 4-star prediction was incorrect, speculation suggests he might be a lightning DPS and use gauntlets. We can't confirm anything yet; all of these speculations are from Uncle Birdie on Twitter. He also suggests that we'll get a free copy of Xiangli Yao, but nothing is guaranteed aside from the drip marketing.
Next, Zhezhi. Previously, we didn't know anything about her, not even her gender. Now we know she's a female character and likely a Glacio support unit, useful in a Jinhsi team. Her story is: "Zhezhi is a commissioned painter, quiet and shy with a dedication to her craft. She's not very eloquent, but her persistence and love for painting speak volumes." Speculation suggests she might be a Glacio unit.
So, that's all the information about the new drip marketing. There's no gameplay footage yet, so we don't know the characters in detail.
