I love this...I am from Whitebear First Nation, Saskatchewan Canada and we are brothers and sisters to all natives...we have to keep these traditions alive for our children
They dance with meaning/authority, I like watching Hopis, I'm pueblo myself, similar ways , same spiritual/ceremony structure. But these men dancing here, you can see jus how old and sacred this was and still is, gives me the chills!! Thanks for sharing!!!!:)
@Reddcoin GroupDuh! there are Native peoples in mexico 2. They r of a different tribe(s). They have different customs and culture. The seperation of united states and mexico was created by the europeans. There r less than 300 miles separating the Pueblo people of new mexico and the Native people of mexico. A lot of southwest Natives and Mexican natives probably have some spanish blood in them.
@@connormurphy683 you know what's crazy hopis are my ancestors I'm 100% native American from mexico city on my ancestry results more then half of it was in northern Arizona then central mexico so hopis are probably where my Aztec ancestors came from
Yupp our brothers and sisters to the south..! In Hopi/Tewa we have a Parrot clan ... where do you think they migrated from... AZ doesn't have parrots... an on my dads side the Snow clan their migration story links them to the southern most tip of South America... we're all relatives
I'm from northern Minnesota. My Mom was an RN in Keams Canyon in '86. Loved living in Hopiland. I loved watching the kachinas dance in middle village. My favorite were Velvet Shirt Kachinas. I miss Hopiland.
That was profound. As a Christian, I initially believed my God was against everything, but now I realize that your God, our God, is the God. The energy and spirit of the people participating drew me here, and it's incredible. Before finding this video, I could feel your presence. Speaking about the tragic genocide our brother nations endured for the American story on my livestream, your spirit provided clarity. In that moment, I found the words without stuttering, and my thoughts seamlessly connected with what I was hearing. It's unbelievable! A three-year-old video somehow changed for me, and it felt like those in attendance here were aware of it. The spirit, the energy, the collective feeling grew stronger in me and in the crowd. Impossible! It's impossible to say that a video could somehow change, or that they knew they were communicating with someone in the future, knew me, and meant to speak to me. But our understanding is limited, and the God who created us in His image has made the impossible possible. I write this to ensure your generation doesn't forget the realness of these experiences, known by our ancestors. They knew the truth all along."
No write in english only in ethnic language.... the language extintion because the people speak english with your people.... english with the foreing in the Village only speak natives language
I love seeing everyone involved and peacefully observing. I'm Navajo and have noticed a lot of drunks, competition and non involvement at our dances. So sad but beautiful to see our Hopi neighbors one wirh their culture.
Nikyle Wes guess what us Mexicans lost ours a long time ago while some tribal languages exist and they’re mostly known as “rare or ranch languages” I’m like wtf no that’s a native Mexican language 🤔🤦♂️
Just goes to show pagan religion well soon die out. I grew up tradional but now nominal Christian. I still know my language. Ever sense I started reading bible I got more fluent in Navajo. But public Ritauals weren’t really the main stay in navajo culture from what I remember.we just had a lot of ceremonies .never been to a ye’ii dance till I was in high school. Even squaw dance, never saw the actual horse riding or dancing we just usually went there socialized then ate then left, didn’t see any of the ritual. It was a really boring affair.
Kevin Tsosie people like you are cause to why the "Christian" faith is such a turn off. Your outlook on others shows how you carry yourself in this world. How do you explain how God put so many different cultures on this earth? Do not put down what you do not understand.
Shortyc 38 I was just telling my experience with Navajo religion. To be frank it felt like a waste of time. That’s just my opinion, if your offended that’s ur problem. And that’s what’s it says in the Bible doesn’t it? all pagan “ non Christian” religion well soon die out. Even look at head lines. A lot of drunks go to navajo dances, that statement in itself tells me something isn’t working.
As an American descended from immigrants, I feel humbled and profoundly privileged to witness this. Much gratitude to the traditional people who have allowed these dances and ceremonies to be shown and shared with the world❤️
Alot ov work goes into preparation for this dance. The men and women have to fast but the payoff is that they're not doing it for just us Hopis but the entire world. One ov my nieces/daughters took part in this a dance group like this so these always reminds ov her. Be happy and treat each other well.
This music is wonderful to fall asleep to. Like adult lullabies..LOL It's so calm and rhythmic. It is even better when not feeling well because that drum becomes a heart beat which is so very healing. Try it some time.
@@user21_21yeah owii most of the people here are my relatives the house the small house is my house the left dancer is my me’meh and the right dancer is my goddad he just become my god dad yesterday night during the corn dancers thank u for this video kwa’kwaii
This is a truly spiritual dance. It is the true meaning of bringing prayers for rain. Definitely understood the meaning behind it. Thanks for sharing this wonderful spiritual dance❤️

Kwa Kwai Family - our True traditional religion will never be taken away. We will never forget our Brave Hopi Traditionalist who refused to stop doing our Kachina dances and for this were punished by US government & sent to Alcatraz prison, some of you never made it back home - we honor you for making sure our Kachina dance ceremonies reached all the future generations.
@Paul Daystar Yet despite hating Navajos you Hopis do that "Navajo Dance" whatever that is !! Navajos Dont sing or dress Hopi ! Yet you Hopis sure dress and sing Navajo songs you Hopis sure are bi-polar!!
My people Diné were brave conquers and adventurous people! We traveled tamed n conquered. So don’t hate I love my roots! Brave strong resilient people who continue to weather the storm. Yet that being said I also have ancestral ties to the Hopi.
@@mongoloidprideworldwide5822 right my gwa-a taught to respect every tribe no Matter what their ancestors did to hopis for example if you're German doesn't mean you hate Jews only your SOME of their ancestors did I dont understand why we do this we all equal no matter what our ethnicity is
GRIZZLYbear8910 boi I am Navajo I never hated any other tribe. But I know other tribes have hated navajos for no reason because something that happened in the Past. How do you expect Navajos who lost there homes and forced out of the area their ancestors were buried at to like the Hopi tribe. It was the Hopi government that conspired with the Whites to relocate navajos. As if only hopis lived in the Southwest other tribes also lived in the Southwest longer than the hopis have do those tribe have the right to force the hopis out of the area.
Though it is beautiful! It hurts to realize that this strong, wise, spiritual people have been devided. Please come together as one and help lead the way.
Good night from Catalonia, it's the best videos I've seen from native america, many congratulations to keep the native traditions and to be able to share, it is wonderful to be able to enjoy these dances, congratulations, a burnished from catalonia.
One of the coolest video's on youtube thanks for the upload, much respect to the Hopi and Arizona Indian Tribes, im a Brit and my country is wet, I spent 4 months in Arizona camping, and going on my 5th month now, Surviving in the desert is very hard, much harder than in a wet climate that im from, I would give my right arm to learn 1-10th of what these guys know about desert survival, Incredible history With the Hopi and all American Tribes really.
utmost love and respect and thank you so much for sharing with the world. may everyone's eyes be opened to the beauty of humankind still churning powerfully within the heart of these ceremonies and the Hopi people.
Thank you for sharing, it brings warms my heart to be able to see a part of American history that had been denied for too long. I think schools would love for the children to see these dances and learn more about the True Americans
I was asked to dance for them but I didn't I wasn't going to be home that weekend. But had a blast dancing in ktown when my taha put a group.. askwalii to these girls
