for anyone wondering, the supply was probably really really really really bad because 200 divisions on a single tile destroys your supply which means the germans could push the russians very easily
And not to mention combat width existing. The vast majority og divisions would just be in reserves during combat, leaving only a few starved and unequipped ones to actually fight.
In retrospect, the fact most of those 25000+ divisons would be fighting with their bare hand, makes sense they lost edit: im not referring to the actual war you clowns, im referring to the simulation where the AI has like 25000 18 width divisions that would take up like 23,000,000 rifles.
hoi4 ai can not build railroads can not build strongholds can not build navy correctly can not build supply hubs can not build emergency division can not counter tanks over predicament of the developer can not build spg/spaa/spat can not build naval base can not paratroop unlike what happened in history, a lot can not surrender can not decide or figure out if his enemy is stronger than him or can not predict if the war can not understand if he is verging in a fatal war and yet declares war to another major power can not nuke correctly can not counter (even players) cas based fighters can not truce with others (yes it can send nonaggression but still ends up focus to each others) until the annexation of the threating country can not plan the economy can not produce what he needs can not prioritize modern tank over medium and medium over light tank can not manage the resources can not build his factories to correct states can not breakthrough like what they done in older hearts of iron games can not create true division to terrain or manage to create a standard division thats has a good width /weight ratio can not min max can not use his dockyards can not design can not upgrade his upgradable rifle can not delete division can not manage garrison can not make logical alliance can not focus on annex the subject nation can not maintain stability or war support can not manage to steal tech via agency, but only focus over deciphering via his op bonuses can not stop nuke via a.supremacy can not escape from disadvantageous naval battle can not BATTLEPLAN can not guard his coast can not guard his capital can not fortify his capital until someone with more power enters to his core lands via border conflict and lets him live like 2 year (specifically its bulgaria)
I can´t imagine how big the debuffs must have been for low supply and stacking too many divisions on top of another, and there is no way the economy could ever replace the lost guns, and they must run out of manpower so quickly LUL
@kostrol in the beginning Russians lost due to logistics yes. But the extra divisions were so they can slow advancing Germans until supplies catch up. They built more than adequate supply after 6 months as Germans face harsh winter and being under equipped for winter war. Eventually Russians not only match but exceed Germany mechanized brigades and went on offensive.
Having more division leads to German victory but in normal case Soviet pushes Germany back. Strange... Btw your PC might have turned into toaster I guess
This is why spamming wouldn't work, and stacking should only be done to a certain degree. If you really have the resources to put more into the army, you should consider improving the divisions when the size of them are already big enough. This is why I really like how supply mechanic is introduced a while back, it basically stops one to force-spam divisions.
german troops in hoi4 are just way too strong, or they add a stronger buff to the soviets or make the german buffs temporary one, that ends when barbarossa launchs, or just add the damn winter national spirit that nerfs the germans beyond belief
"Hoi4 but the soviet union has a completely unmanageable supply crisis that, because its an AI, it cant fix." Yeah dog, who couldve seen that easy germany win coming?
Zero surprise here. Attrition probably took 99% of the supply away long before Germant attacked. This isn't Victoria 2/CK3/EU4 where you can just death stack and win.
It isn't wonder, that USSR has lost: the divisions are not useful, if there isn't equipment. The USSR has many people, but usually there are maximum 400-600 divisions. And you try with the industry make equipment for 25000 divisions. But what if you give the divisions and excelente industry? It is other situation
This outcome is because having this many units you are not able to equip all of them only like 1 state full of troops, also the soviets wouldnt have enough anything to supply them so basically all these troops are fighting with there bare hands no guns.
If they were given the guns and it was a player, I think they could manage it easy. They would just need to bring away divisions so no stacking penalty
No xD L2P the AI is weak in hoi4 ez to world conquest with every country. ussr have lost bcs 200 div by states is just impossible to manage. imagine have 3000 div but 30 military factory xd you have 0 stuff for them
If a player were to be in control the ussr would quickly lose 90% of those divisions and become the most powerful nation on earth for it (all the free manpower and equipment and no longer losing millions to attrition)
Everyone's talking about the USSR getting absolutely clapped but nobody is talking about just how weird the late game got. Why did Germany attack Japan, why was brazil fighting communist China, why didn't the USA ever join ww2, and wtf happened in SA?
Why do you hardly ever make Hoi4 Timelapse on East Asia?[Angry Mr. Incredible] I will make a lot of East Asia Hoi4 Timelapse in the future[Sincere Mr. Incredible]
