They actually took a step backwards this year. With 19 I feel like the game was getting better, but not amazing and had features I appreciated, but 20 is just a huge disappointment. They completely stripped down online and made it not fun, I’m hoping that they at least fix core gameplay and Universe Mode bugs, because those two thing plus online is where the longevity is at with these games. The game is dead once all the DLC is released, so after DLC there’s no more patches, which is ridiculous if you ask me. There’s so much wrong with the series that they just need something that keeps people to keep coming back for and not a broken mess of a game.
The Big Show’s Wikipedia page has been locked for edits. Mostly because tons of people were editing in that he wore a large cat mask in his later career.
2:13 I love the idea that your character is fantasizing taking on their school bully in a fictitious WWE match where they'd be fake wrestling and the winner would be pre-determined lmao
I remember when he did it for the first time at WM69 man it was so badass. We thought it was impossible but they brought the game to life the crowd went insane.
Nope disagree WWE has gotten worse since like 2015 ever since the Roman/Brock/Part timer/Indy ERA started. At the same time 2K games got worse and worse each year (not that they ever produced a classic, 2K14 were mostly THQ's work) so the games AND the product both lowered in quality around the same time so you could say they been "representing the current product" for quite a while now 😉
No it should still be called here comes the pain. Except, we have to experience the pain of playing a broken ass game. We need a here comes the pain remastered
It's weird seeing the big content creators doing this kind of stuff now. There have been great channels (like newLEGACYinc) doing it for years. Hell, this isn't even the most glitchy WWE 2K game.
Smackdown here comes the pain was one of the most legendary games ever on the ps2, it is sad how they massacred this franchise, what's so fucking hard about making two buff dudes punch each other in a goddamn ring.
This is such an underrated video. The intro shows why these games suck even when the game is working 100% correctly. The first wrestling games were slow and boring but as time went on they got more outrageous and became more kinetic and exciting, mirroring the feeling of watching actual exciting wrestling matches. Now it is a slow boring simulator that refuses to actually simulate the reality of wrestling.
@@JohnDoe-ix6my see there my point is proven Some like the more arcady feel and i understand but i like 2k19 yeah I am one of those guys who would play games in first person All stars is a game where you can have fun with your friends and have alot of funny moments because of how weird it is But other people like the more slow feeling where you feel like your an actual wrestler And some people just like the newer superstars The old games can't handle an entire roster with lio rush, velveteen dream and the undisputed era Cause they all need new move-sets, entrances and victory's And the wwe changes every week Some people get released and then they have to remove the character and there goes all their process They focus more on the superstars because that's is a important part for these types of games But they could also do it like the older games Less legends and less superstars Then just add the feature to change hair and trons Leave the entrances from the older games in and let the community create them itself while the game developers focus more on the gamemodes and gameplay Cause basically almost every wwe move is in the move-set now And otherwise create a move or Create a finisher Everyone would probably be happy then but 2k is a big company They are a big company like t-series. Ea and even wwe It's hard for them to focus that much on fans and they only hear half of a percent we say So i feel like since 2k14 that these game might never reach that level again The only reason i don't play that game is because its outdated and the create a superstar sucks And its impossible to even create simplest of characters like adam cole
It’s not criminal, but it should be. The amount of exploitation that goes on is typical of a greedy corporation with little regard for what their fans think.
The previous titles were actually pretty great. The one lead-dev that was the brain behind the titles and was very good with the engine left the team. However the problem is, after years being the one that did (probaly) most coding, noone could replace him. AFAIK that dev is creating his own wrestling game.
Aikju The developers (Yuke’s) who’ve been making these games for the last decade left and took the engine with them, so 2k rushed this game out using an old version of their engine
@@thecactusman17 More than a decade. Almost two actually... every WWE game since SmackDown (2000) has been made by a development company called Yukes and THQ owned the company and published the game. When THQ went under 2K bought the rights and Yukes (the company) who makes the game with their engine.
Yukes was forced to put out unfinished crap every year though, thats why they left before 2k20. and this turned out to be the worst wrestling game ever
Yea,apparently the main dev team/member? left and WITH the engine so they rushed this shish on an older one,i honestly have no idea how this can exist,it should be just canceled and make the team focus on the next year,
@@WatchUsReviewStuff They couldn't cancel it because of their contract. Basically they have to make a new game every year or else they lose the license
mickskitz that isn’t true. ‘76 is pretty busted, but it’s playable, and it can be fun with your friends. Neither of these apply to 2K20. I realize ‘76 isn’t in a great spot, but it’s nothing in comparison to this fucking disaster.
The fact that it took a wrestling game to fail this hard for Dunkey to finally make a video on one is such a facepalm for any fan of this channel and pro wrestling.
People of culture I see 😏 I'm happy that show is getting love. Go watch PFFR's new show 'The Shivering Truth' it didn't get the praise it deserves. Had to hijack this comment to say it.
Mad props to the selling ability of triple h to be floating in air in a squated chair position to then manifesting the stone cold quad and driving to the ring. Unbelievable.
Not just that but don't the games have to also be approved by the WWE and by Sony / Microsoft? I can only guess that 2K paid a ton of money to just let the game release when it obviously wasn't ready rather than skip a year. Maybe the WWE contract they have states that they must release a game every year so they had to just push out what they had. Someone is at fault here thats for sure. It's fascinating that this game exists honestly lol
Basically the devs (Yuke's, not 2K) took their ball and went home, which included their engine. 2K had to salvage whatever was left and used an old version of the engine and hired a mobile dev to to what they could before release.
The titled cartridge is a legit good description. I remember seeing this sort of thing on Goldeneye. It's hard to fathom that something actually ships like this today.
