Missed Opportunity indeed. I think it would have had the reverse effect than what they feared. A heel John Cena would be the top merch seller because the world wants to see it
It was just confirmed in an interview with Cena that he was set in stone to have a heel run for Rock Cena 1. New gear new theme song etc.... but they pulled the plug. He was genuinely upset and wanted to be heel badly
For me, the best opportunity to turn Cena heel was at Mania 29. Rematch against The Rock, the eman that beat him the year before. Could you imagine if Cena looked as if he was going to lose to Rock again, and then The Shield came down and gave Cena the victory and it was revealed Cena was behind The Shield (which debuted at Survivor Series the previous year) all along?
Imagine if he had turned heel in 2006, though. Imagine the HEAT he would have received at ECW One Night Stand had he been a dick and cheated to retain the belt. Call it the chaos-lover in me, but I'd love to hear and see that reaction, watching WWE incite the riot and seeing what happens next.
it’s not the official “heel” theme. He said in the interview that the song is called “Fear My Name” and has saxophones in the music. And he said if it ever sees the light of day, he would like to replace the saxophones with trumpets. And he also said the song sounds similar to “My Time Is Now.” And for the vocals on this song, John Cena has always made music. This is probably a throwaway song that was scrapped from one of his personal albums.
0:01 Fun Fact: Cena was actually SUPPOSED to turn heel after loosing to The Rock at Wrestlemania 28. This was gonna be his music. But Vince cancelled it at the last minute.
At the beginning, Cena should’ve started a multiple month long losing streak, losing to Kane, Rock, Brock,Big Show, etc. Have him return as a heel in the money in the bank match of that year and win the briefcase, but pull a RVD type moment and tell the current champion (CM Punk) that he’ll be cashing in at Summerslam, Cena cheats to win, holds the title for close to two years before losing the title to Daniel Bryan at Wrestlemania 30 as opposed to having the original triple threat of Batista, Orton and Bryan. As a side note Cena would be a part of the authority during this time, once he loses the title, it’ll be build dissension amongst the authority.
Cena's rematch with The Rock was so important for John to win that he became so obsessed and out of character with the NEED to beat The Rock. The rematch happens and they go back and forth but Cena just cant get the rock down for the 3 count. Rock keeps countering Cena's attempts for an attitude adjustment and pushes Cena out of the ring. The look of defeat is on Cena's face as he is laying on the floor catching his breathe while the referee starts counting. He can tell its a losing battle.. he suddenly notices his 'hustle loyalty respect' chain sitting on the steel stairs he left there from his entrance. He takes a second to think about it before he reaches out for it and wraps it around his fist. The Rock doesnt want to win the match via count-out so he walks and leans over the middle rope to pull Cena back into the ring *BAM* Cena hits Rock cleanly across the head with it and out of the Reffs sight. Cena gets back into the ring lifts and hits a dazed and barely conscious Rock with an Attitude Adjustment, 1, 2 ,3. Thats how i would have booked Cenas heel turn
Imagine this: He needs to return with the never give up gimmick and he needs to remain face vs Lashley for the wwe title but the problem is the match is a submission match STF vs Hurt Lock. Bobby Lashley makes Cena tap out and the fans will be shocked. Cena gets mad and turns heel and uses this theme.
I could've totally seen John Cena and Randy Orton teaming up as heels and making a faction with WWE vets who are not respected, and have them go against the young superstars at survivor series.
One more run, heel Cena. Feud with Edge, AJ Styles, Randy Orton, and finish off with a 17th world title, giving the belt to Austin Theory after 6 months as champ.
Cody doesn't need to be the one in Cena's retirement match. Besides, the big face vs big face thing was done with Cena & Rock, and Cody hasnt even been back in WWE THAT long to be at that level. The last opponent has to be Orton. Can't think of any current guys except Austin Theory, but he hasnt had a huge, earned push yet.
@@FamousResumenLibrosit’s not unfortunately. Cena described the song as a more disturbed version of ‘my time is now’ with saxophones. Called “fear my name”.
Funfact:- Here's Vince and Cena conversation (told by Cena) about the heel turn which was supposed to have this theme only Vince: Let's do a heel turn Cena:Yeah,I am ok with it let's do this But listen We can't come back later even if it doesn't work If we do this If we turns this character heel then the character should stay heel for next 10 years Vince: Listen I don't think we are ever going to do this Plan scrapped😖
I'd like to hear the source for this. All I've heard about this was Vince was ready too and Cena was excited too but licensing deals with Hasbro for a few years prevented this.
@@TheUndisputedHeat hey dude listen it would be cool if u could custom titantrons for my show and obviously you’ll be given credit and stuff but if your down we can work sum out?
